Maybe the pencil-pushing story is bullshit. Maybe he really is a Navy SEAL!
He could be preparing for an amphibious assault on some Al Qeuda stronghold this very minute.

I didn't say he was a Navy SEAL, you ignorant piece of shit, but he's serving in the military and deserves a "thanks."

He deserves sincere thanks. Not patronizing and pandering, which is all you socialist subversives can offer.

I've been cutting it with the push mower, but ran the rider a little ways along it yesterday.

My body shuddered and told me to never go near that fucking hill again.
Here is a little hint for you Sam. I ran landscape maintenance operations for others and myself for 25 years. Our insurance carriers and just plain common sense said that 23 degrees is a max slope you should try and run a mower or other slower speed equipment on. I tried walking up the banked corner at Charlotte Speedway back in 97, and that is 23 degrees and I could hardly stand up. Driving on it at 160mph was OK, but your rider is probably not going to hit that speed.

Keep doing it though, and let me know, because I will call dibs on you in the death pool.

Here's another little hint, Sam: They make this stuff called Roundup (glyphosphate), that when sprayed on non-Monsanto produced vegitation, tends to kill it. Many people use this to their advantage, and apply it to places that are hard to mow -- for example, steep dangerous/backbreaking slopes. Another example would be along fencelines and borders. And heaven forbid you have grass along a chain-link fence... but I think some people must really enjoy breaking out the weedwacker every week.

Give ya a pass on vegetation. But you can just admit that you chose to drop a $.25, 'active ingredient' word that you THOUGHT you knew the spelling of.

Coming from our resident 101st Fighting Keyboarder, who tries to make himself out to be the second coming of Audie Murphy and whatsuch . . .

 That was an unintentional funnay, btw.

I will rack Smackaholic for doing a job most want done, but not many want to do. As well as for this . . .

But I see Mgo's point as well. Smackaholic's motives seem to be mixed at best (i.e., trying to get back at his asshole boss). And I realize that at the point I'm at in life, my first obligation is to my family. Being 5-6,000 miles away in a best case scenario, or coming home in a bodybag in the worst case scenario, doesn't exactly square with my obligation to my kids, one of whom is only 7 and the other of whom has special needs.

Wow, can't get nothing past you and chief inspector mgooo. :meds:

Of course my self interests play very heavily into the decision. It's kind of how we human beings roll. Conservatives realize this which is why we tend to not like having the gubmint running stuff as it's chock full of folks who are self centered as well.

As for coming home in a body bag, it is highly unlikely. More likely to get dead being run over by that chris farley dude when I am riding my bike to work. If I do get dead, the OL will be set. Fairly decent chunk of insurance and a pension.

Where's Wags dropping Lucky Man by ELP for smacko? :)

As for the angle of United Socialist of America, I think a quote from Berekely In The Sixties said it best, when one of the activist was asked where the radical left freaks went wrong and what they should have done differently.

His answer was along the lines of "We alienated the middle class. We'll make sure we don't make that mistake the next time around."

So what they are doing is removing and silencing that dangerous and pesky middle class. Of course they've since changed their view of the military.

yeah...they wish our troops all the best.

The socialist disgust for the military or the middle class isn't fooling anyone.
