What I love about unwritten rules is that the only ones who seem to know about them are the ones who cite them, and they never cite them as something THEY were following, but rather as something SOMEONE ELSE was breaking. Of course, the parties who are accused of breaking them always claim ignorance about their existence.
Alls I knows is Carlos Gomez took unwritten rule breaking to a new level last week.
This has been making the rounds here the last few days. The winning team only ran about thirty plays and scored on ten of them. They also scored on two punt returns and once on defense. Starters only played the first quarter.
Imagine if Schmick had a team of this caliber. He prolly wouldn't have had the officials run the clock. It might have been 200-0. Show no mercy!
