Oregon's style seems too predicated on match-ups, and not a versatile one that can take on all-comers. Stanford is a team that can neutralize a high flying spread attack, but can also match up well with a smashmouth mirror image of themselves (see Rose Bowl over Wisky last year). At one point I saw three Oregon defenders bounce off Stanford's QB like a super ball. And dude isn't exactly Cam Newton when he tucks and runs. I can't imagine going against that offense in practice every day prepares you to play a physical team. They probably spend more time making shoestring "tackles" than wrapping up.
