Jsc, you'll note that I didn't claim Obama didn't send a delegation, but that he himself was a no-show for our staunchest ally. That is incredibly diplomatically boorish considering the relationship between our two countries post-WW2. Hopefully, when Bammy takes a dirt nap the Pommies will just send a bouquet of posies.

Well, yes. After that intentional diplomatic snub, I'm quite certain that the word "staunchest" likely doesn't apply any longer. "Bitch" goes a bit too far, but to even the most apolitical observer it is obvious that our countries' relationship has definitively cooled. A pity, seeing as Obama's stated desire when he assumed the Presidency in 2008 that we would make closer allies with other countries previously held at arms' length like, say, Iran or Syria, his overtures have resulted in an unmitigated disaster. But like the website of his signature legislation, Barry apparently prefers the hard and thankless path of ineptitude and a my-way-or-the-highway attitude instead of the easier road paved with competence and mutual respect between friends and colleagues.

Just want to take a moment to remind my American cousins that Thatcher was universally reviled amongst the British. Her funeral was a celebration, not of her legacy and accomplishments, but of her finally taking a fucking dirt nap.
The only place Thatcher gets favourable press is among your goofball media.
Same goes for Churchill. He's some kind of icon in the States...his party couldn't even survive to the end of WWII, so much was he loathed by the population.
