TSA is nothing but a jobs program and should be outsourced this afternoon.

The war on water and security theater should have been tossed long ago. In a recent test the TSA officers only discovered 5% of prohibited items. Or put another way they they missed 95% of items they are paid to find.

Okay, many of you have raised serious concerns about your government's various security schemes, but I'd like to think that there's at least one thing we can all agree on...
...and that would namely be that...

C'mon, guys! Let's get him! Who's with me?!?!?

Nice to see that you're in favor of a jobs program for the mentally handicapped. And I'm not just joking. A guy from my high school who was retarded was working airport security prior to 9/11.

Yeah, security by the lowest bidder is always better. :meds:

Failed 67 out of 70 times. Yet you want to defend them?

The mentally handicapped could beat that rate.

The answer, as always, is to privatize airport security. Government agencies-- with the exception of the passport office, are bloated and ineffectual. But then, it's always been about control, hasn't it?

Of course they do. Then they lose value and market share and either get their act together and cut the bloat or they go out of business. (When they do cut the bloat you will blast them for being greedy.)

The TSA like all govt agencies will just ask for more money and make promises that they can't keep while the bloat and ineffectiveness just get worse.

So, you think they should just ignore their rules? And save the "I was just following orders" routine. They are groping people, not stuffing them into ovens.

DHS should be deleted in its entirety.
