That was the one beer jingle I remembered from early childhood. A little over a decade later, I got to put it to the test. Me and a buddy bought a case of schaefer long necks, I think it was like 5.99/case. What horrific swill. They are right though, the last tastes just as good as the first, as in not very fukking good.

I prefer beer. IIRC, Schaefer is made from wheat, not barley...

ergo (Latin), not "beer."

And Sam, there's a reason you never got into drinking craft beer -- after spending time in your neck of the woods... because every last one of them is god-fucking-awful.

On that note... on my nationwide tour last summer... everything I tasted (which was a boatload, every chance I got) that came from east of the Rockies FUCKING SUCKED. It wasn't "OK, whatever" -- it was fucking awful. Every. Last. One.

And Colorado was so hyped... uhhhhh, no. Garbage beer.

I know I come from the Land That Put Craft Beer On The Map, and I'm Original Gangster Snob... but jeebus -- what the fuck are you people doing? You made that shit, poured a glass, and something inside you said "gee, that's pretty good!"?

WTFF is wrong with you people?

Apparently, if it doesn't come from Oregon or California (with a small handful of OK shit in Washington), it's going to taste like dirty butthole.

And save your "b-b-b-b-b-but you haven't had XXXXXXX from XXXXXXX".... trust me, it sucks, as does your palate.

All I will say is that I've had a shit ton of beers brewed in the Midwest that were better than anything I've ever tasted from Deschutes. I'm sure you have some other U&L beers you're very proud of, but save your "b-b-b-b-b-but you haven't had XXXXXXX from XXXXXXX"....

'Craft beer' is code for hops and apparently there's a disasterous shortage of said hops and the price of 'craft beer' will go through the roof.
Hopefully, whatever your horrible state inspired and inflicted on the continent in music and beer will come crashing down and disappear forever.
It's like bragging Drake came from your hometown.

The Schaefer commercial posted was filmed in Toronto last week.

Couple things, Fibber:

First, whether you like hoppy beers or not, and whether or not you like indiepop garbage, and sure, the politics have shifted from the old school redneck of my youth into liberal idiocy...

My state isn't "horrible" -- it's still the best one.

And the "shortage" of hops stems from all these ridiculous pretenders from the Lesser Regions buying them up. All the hop farms I occasionally drive past seem to be doing just fine.

Your anecdotal evidence aside....
According to many observers, 2016 could be the year in which craft beer is hit by the mother of all hangovers – in the shape of a significant hop shortage.

Last year, Washington State’s Yakima Valley – which produces about 75% of America’s hops – was hit by droughts and what should have been a bumper harvest was anything but. Even if the season was not quite the disaster some had predicted, growers still struggled to fully exploit their expanded acreage and sustain certain hop varieties.

One of the questions should have been "Have you eaten at Waffle House?"

Is this senility or just losing track of which one you're married to at the moment.
