Corona is just a little too close to the coors lite end of the scale for my taste.

That is a fair, but I think it has just a little bit more taste then Coor's Light. The plus for Corona is that once in awhile you might come across a particularly rank one that seem to confirm the urban legend that the Mexicans pissed in the batches for the northern gringos, :P .

I always considered Corona to be a step or two above your normal Coors/Miller/Anheuser Busch swill. Could be they're adding an extra shot of protein at the bottling plant - I don't know.
Given a choice I'll drink Modelo though.

Well, then the dutch must be pissing into every last bottle of Heineken as skunky as that shit is. And yes, I will give you that Corona has more taste than coors light, but then so does a bottle of distilled water. If there is anything as tasteless as CL, it would be Mic Ultra. I ordered a pitcher of that shit once. What garbage.

It wasn't swill.

Had their Sculptin IPA the other night. Very good beer with a basket of Boudin balls.

Tried Bells Two Hearted Ale yesterday. Everything good you guys from Michigan said about it was is true. Straight fucking nectar.

What took you so long?

My favorite Bell's beers--

1. Two Hearted
2. Smitten Golden Rye
3. Amber
4. Pale Ale
5. Best Brown

Two Hearted has become Bell's flagship beer since Oberon has sorta gone to shit.

BTW, nothing quite like drinking a Two Hearted ON the Two Hearted River. That there is God's country.

Not sure. I've been on a NY and Vermont beer kick for a while. I happened to see it at Beers of the World yesterday and remembered you guys bragging on it. I'll be buying more.

Bell's Hopslam is pretty good as well.

Founders is another top-notch Michigan brewer, and Dark Horse is not bad either.

The true beer snobs in this state will tell you Short's is the best. I tend to stick to Bell's and Founders. Dark Horse is good, but I only drink it when I happen to be in Marshall where it's brewed. The clientele is an interesting mix of townies, bikers, and hipsters.

I will keep an eye out for the Bells. Based on their website several of their offerings are available in several of the places I frequent.

Coincidentally, Short's is about to be available here. I will give it a shot.
