I'm sure Trump will be all over these jobs, right? Especially as they sell his shitty foreign made clothes.

LORD TRUMP! BRING THESE JOBS BACK!

This is the second time you've said this. When can we expect to see this commercial? 2020?
"Uh, Captain Seater, sir, this altimeter here says we're flying at 300 feet. Don't you think we need a little more altitude to get over that big hill coming up?"

"Don't worry Billy. Remember, facts don't matter and I say we're flying at 20,000. No problem. The TV viewing public eats this kind of shit up."

We need to force the Frogs to make their Champagne in California.
No Champagne made in France for US consumption with out BIG border tax!!

That would be government picking winners and losers.

Now, if you had said "sparkling wine" instead of "champagne," and "America" instead of "California," I'd be game.

OK I'm good with "America" instead of California. But why should France have a monopoly on champagne?
It's a free market. We should be able to call our sparkling wine anything we want and let the market decide the winners and losers.

If they want to bring it in from France when they could be making it here, slap a 45% tariff on the fucker. Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a bottle of Cristal and a $20 Cali bottle anyway. I probably couldn't to be honest, though I can't claim ever to have tried any $200+ sparkling wines.

Why? I dunno -- maybe an international trade agreement (that took almost a century to hammer out). But Cali came out the winner there.

I've had some decent sparkling wines -- they all taste like crap to me, and make me puke. Fortunately, the large winery where "my" winery works out of put all the stupid sparkling winemaking shit out in the storage barn... since it was never any good, anyway. The new motto: "want sparkling wine? Argyle* is right up the road, go see them."

* -- They rack up some gaudy scores on the sparklers in the magazines.

We can't have any of that!
