I never rationalized slavery. It's one of those things that saddens me to the core it happened.

Mikey, you messed up calling out Ben Carson for this and I mentioned that you did this because you don't like him for some reason. He hasn't done anything bad that I have seen and he seems like a sweet, smart, genuine human being.

For me slavery is just a historical event that those whose great-great-great-great-great grandparents were slaves are attempting to use to rationalize whatever agenda they have. Black? Oh, I deserve reparations, free college education, a get-out-of-jail-free card, a looted Walmart television, etc etc. It has no bearing on anyone today outside of a communal sense of entitlement. Yet you don't hear Jews wanting a handout because their anscestors suffered in the Holocaust. You don't hear about the Britons wanting reparations from the Italians for the emotional damage the Romans did to their sense of self.

At some point, it needs to be rcognized for what it is: An excuse for a lack of gumption. Get over it. It's ancient history-- at least by today's standards of news.

I don't have a problem with the idea of a slave auction poster, but from the description of it it sounds like the students aren't being given proper context.

Remember back in high school you'd have a slave auction during homecoming week? That's all verboten in today's SJW culture.
