Lush fish, aka black fish. Thicker than salmon. Bony. Very mild taste, meat flakes off easily, prepared simply melts in your mouth like butter.

I've never learned to debone properly, but whatever. Nobody should eat fast anyway.

Sunfish ... homemade hush puppies and corner store cole slaw from the real part of town. Good eating on a Saturday night, back when boxing was still on regular tv.

Asians need to stop trying to eat everything raw.

June 1-3, American Red Snapper season here...(fuck the commercial lobby). Weather was too nasty on Friday. Limit is two per angler, took under 30 min. to limit out both days. Lucky to catch the three gag groupers those days...couldn't get a line to the floor either day.
