Agreed. The best we could hope for would be for Moving Parrot to be caught on the uphill side of that bitch.

Because of all the Wet Siders driving them away?
Pretty much, not in huge droves but in my circles there are at least 10 people I know who have left the Wet Side for various reasons in the last 2 years. The main reason is the huge influx of people, and the traffic, crime and other things that make life a bit stressful. Real estate is much cheaper, jobs pay a bit less but the quality of life is much better. Less people.

I have been over here for 4 days now and not seeing the traffic, fucking tweakers and foreigners and crime is the main reason I am moving over here. Oh yeah and the fact that I will sell my property and come away with about 500K. I have enough property over on the dry side now to start some real estate development and make a great living.

Take a short drive over to Madras. I'm not sure tere's a city in Oregon that can compete with the number of tweekers, percentage-wise.

Probably nothing to do with its proximity to the Warm Springs Indian Reservation at all. The recent bust of 63 pounds of meth in Madras says you are right.

Several years ago, I worked in Madras (actually Metolius, but stayed in Madras), and there was only one bar open late with pool tables (you probably know the one). The freaking DDI's (Dirty Drunken Injuns) were actually using meth in the bar with impunity.

Just a fucked up town.

My impression of Santa Fe is similar to Palm Springs, Laguna Beach, and La Jolla, an artsy community with some good restaurants, and lots of tourists. My feeling in general about Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada is they're as oppressive in summer as Alaska is in winter. Good luck Mikey.

Santa Fe is also the state capital.
The average high temperature in July is 85.9 deg, about the same as Poway. Cooler than Escondido.
It does get a little colder in the winter.

Odds are that on Christmas day 2018 I'll be living in Fallbrook.
