It was a different bottle, not the one in the store either. The price was similar to what you said, maybe a tad bit cheaper, but it has been 8 years, it might be the same now. Maybe it is something they give you at the Distillery. My wife's dad in Sheboygan has it now.

Four Roses is another favorite distiller of mine, and their single barrel offering (100 proof) is widely available and reasonably priced.
That looks really nice. Four Roses makes excellent whiskey using multiple recipes. Very interesting approach. 2 different mash bills, 5 different yeasts. Here's some info:

Local store carries a "specially made for" single barrel that is reputed to be 6 years old, for $40.

I went to a tasting last year, flight of 5 different bottles of Four Roses, including this one (available on the internet for $400-500):
