What was the water temperature at the surface, the air temp immediately above the surface, and at the height of your laser/aiming point? Relative humidity? Barometric pressure?

Or was your "experiment" half-ass, and used one observation, and ignored very basic principles of surveying?

Who conducted the experiment? Was it you? Was it somebody else? What were their credentials? What tools did they use? Did you verify their methods were correct? Did you record the findings? Surely a discovery as enlightening as this one would come with some sort of documented record.

Also, why should anyone believe you? You could totally be making this up, which I suspect you are. I mean, how many people lug laser equipment along on a "camping trip" for the purposes of measuring earth curvature? How’s about you try it over 20 miles with your transmitter and receiver at 2 ft above the surface and get back to us. Surely you can find a body of water smooth enough that waves won’t be an issue.
