I don't know what kind of business Izzo has been in before coaching, but I'll tell you what. If he was head of a newspaper and he struck an employees, then got in their face and launched an angry series of F-bombs, he'd be held accountable -- right out the front door. That's the way it really is.
What a clueless douche.

Fuck yeah!
Cal fired the worse coach in College Basketball history. They were going to give him another year.
Going after Jason Kidd.
The team went to AD Knowlton and changed his mind.

Rack the Cal kids... for playing through.
Knowing their coach was trying to leave... for a Job at California.
Sad, they were killing Whoregon... at that point.
They held Whoregon to 2 points... for 10 minutes .in the 2nd half.
Basically... 8 points for the game.

The state of California subsidizes UC to the tune of almost $3.5 billion per year, dumbass. That doesn’t include whatever federal $$ they get, which is also substantial.

10.3% of $36.5 billion total operating revenue estimated for 2019 / 2020 is over $3.5 billion. Not too good at math, are you?
Another 12% comes from Government contracts and grants. So now we're over $8 billion.
As a percentage of "core funds" which provide permanent funding for the University’s core missions, as well as the administrative and support services needed to perform them, revenue from the State General fund makes up 40%.

Is Cal the worst power conference team in college basketball history?
Granted, they won a couple games since the article was published, but Cal sucketh bad.
The piece was written a month ago:
At the moment, the Pac-12 is flirting heavily with becoming the first single-bid power conference since the NCAA tournament expanded in 1985. Washington, which sits atop the league standings by a full three games at 11-1, is the only Pac-12 team currently in the top 60 of the NET rankings ... and the Huskies are only No. 31. The league embarrassed itself during the non-conference portion of the season, dropping contests against fellow power conference foes and unrenowned mid/low majors alike. No team had reached double-digit wins once league play began in 2019. UCLA fired Steve Alford on New Year’s Eve, Oregon lost star freshman Bol Bol to injury, and Arizona and Sean Miller have been dealing with one off court distraction after another all year.
If ever there was a time for a projected middle to bottom of the pack Pac-12 team to seize the moment and overachieve, it would be now. Instead, Cal has been the unquestioned worst of the worst, and is now on the brink of going winless against the least intimidating conference slate the program has ever seen.
Non Pac-12 teams that have defeated Cal this season:
Yale (by 17)
Saint Mary’s (by 13)
San Francisco (by 19)
Fresno State (by 22)
Seattle (by 9)
The Bears’ five wins this season have come against 10-14 Hampton, 13-12 Santa Clara, 15-9 San Diego State, 5-17 Cal Poly (by 1), and 3-20 San Jose State.
I'm disgusted with the mediocrity that is Alabama basketball, but at least they're not Cal.
If anyone here has reason to cry about their college team’s fall from grace it is me.
4 titles in the last 20 years and nowadays the question is, are they good enough to make the NIT.
They were at .500 last time I bothered to check.
Too bad Calhoun hasn’t come back to attempt a resserection of UConn hoops. He’s recovered enough from health issues to coach a new doc 3 program, St Joseph’s in West Hartford. 10 years ago they did t even have male students.
Losing Calhoun was the suck, but had they gotten into the ACC as they tried when the Big E went back to b-ball only. But BC cockblocked them, allegedly. So now they are in the uhhh, AAC, I think it’s called. Basically, it’s the island of misfit toys for college hoops. This makes recruiting a bitch.

Gonzaga vs. TTU should be really good. I’m looking forward to that one. Gonzaga has one of the best offenses in the country, with numerous NBA 1st round picks. I’ll be interested to see how much TTU is able to limit them.

That being said, LSU's little guard is a badass. Reminds me of Chris Jackson.

Best game in a long fucking time for the tournament.
I can't remember a better one. Well, yes I can.
Cal and Jason Kidd beating defending National Champions (Duke) who were favored to repeat.
That little midget for Purdue is unreal. If Ciline hits the backend of that one and one...
Purdue is in the final 4.
Still, that last second shot to send the game to OT... Was $$$$$
Helluva game.... let's hope tomorrows are as good as today's....

Helluva run by Auburn. How they beat UK without Okeke, I don’t know.
The last team I can remember to run through Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky in the same tournament was Arizona in ‘97.
And we know what they took home with them.

Now that Puke has been sent to the showers, there is officially no reason for UConn fan to care about March Madness.
And to Breanna Stewart, who was crying about the girls being part of "March Madness"....
https://sports.yahoo.com/breanna-stewar ... 54669.html
uhhhhh, sorry Stewie, few outside Connecticut and a few other spots, care about slo-mo midget college hoops.
I will say this much though, now that you are gone, slo-mo college hoops is at least interesting. I think she lost 1 game in her 4 years. 4 titles, 4 MVPs. Absolute domination. It was a competition for 2nd place during her run. This year the girls were actually a 2 seed. I can't remember the last time that happened. Of course, they are back in the FF and I suspect Geno will figure out a way to win his 12th title. Wish he would give the men a shot. They need help badly.

Very doubtful he would try. He couldn't hack coaching a men's program.

He absolutely won't try. If he was going to do it, he'd have done it a while ago. As he said in the quote you posted, he probably doesn't have the fire at this point in his life to put up with prima donna future NBA stars. He never had to worry about Stewart saying "fukk you, Geno, I am going to the WNBA early.
I was just pointing out that he has proven he is one hell of a coach. He took a nothing program and grew it into a powerhouse in less than a decade, then kept going to the point where UConn girls hoops is in a class by itself. It would have been interesting to see if his skill set would have worked with the boys. It very well may not have.
