Since leaving office, he appeared to rebound a bit.I think that was because he was happy. He did a lot of good work for one of my favorite charitable organizations, habitat for humanity and I think he really enjoyed it. Sadly, over the past 10 years or so, he has taken a page from Clinton and stuck his nose back into things.

One of this country's better traditions has been that former presidents fade into the shadows and don't get into the political fray. GW has been pretty good in this regard. Others, not so much. Sadly, we may not see that much going forward.

Reagan kept quiet after he left office. Being wracked by Alzheimers may have been partly responsible, but I think he would have anyway.

Both Bushes were very quiet, despite the treatment they got from their successor. Barry has been quieter than I expected, other than occasionally coming out to say the economic boom that occured as soon as he took his foot off the economy's neck, is his doing.

My guess is that Obama goes one of two ways now. He will either say it's all hands on deck and join the mob to attack the bad orange man or he'll hide in the bunker at his sweet new crib on the vineyard.

Were he a normal old white dude, he would have gone with the former, knowing that senile Joe would drag him down with him.

But he isn't. He has the "first black president force field" to protect him. And I doubt even the bad orange man wants to test that. And Barry knows it.
