Fiat is alright. He's cool. I like him. I don't know why he's so hung up on San Francisco, though. It moved from schtick to personal offense. Your news photos supercede Fiat's PR photos by a factor of 1000. San Francisco is in a fucked up place right now, and Fiat's crowing about its current wealth is a red flag.

Johannesburg had a lot of wealth, too, a lot of prestige, but why would anyone choose to live there?

Maybe they do hit too close to home. Or maybe he's smart and lives outside of San Francisco, like all of those folks who don't live in Chicago, but claim to be from Chicago. Lot of maybes.

I think he showed us a stylish converted loft years ago. I love that brick and metal style, it's just out of grad school chic. But those may have been stock photos, too.
