Sports will be back and sooner than Softhead thanks.
The AHL will announce the termination of their season on Monday. However the NHL will soon release their plan to resume the season. Rosters will be expanded since call-ups from the AHL will be impossible. Options still on the table include playing games in central locations. Cities I have heard mentioned are Vegas, Dallas, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Nashville.
As soon as one league gets goin\g the others will follow in short order.

Today we are learning about people in/close to the WH being found positive.
Many others are found positive.
When are we going to come to the realization that a big fukking chunk of the nation is/has been exposed.
And guess what?
They are all still kicking.
Early on, we were told of scary mortality rates.
We were then told of death tolls in the millions and that if we didn't all lock it up, RIGHT FUKKING NOW, the hospitials would be swamped.
They weren't. Not even in NYC.
And now it seems that we very well may have a mortality rate on par with run of the mill flus.
Time to get back to work. Wear a mask if it makes you feel better. If a mask isn't enough stay locked down for all I care.

The problem with the 80K number is #19 may be having its stats padded a little.
The flu has run up some pretty good numbers regularly over the years, but I doubt it ever got the kind stat padding that #19 is getting.

Plenty have already tested positive and most have had zero symptoms. Who cares if one more or 20 more test positive?
NHL players aren’t 80 plus or in a high risk group. This won’t do shit to them.

Who cares?
You realize that if someone gets the Big C, even though it may not kill him, he can pass it on to others who might be killed by it.
So yeah, we'll see how this plays out with the sports leagues.

Yeah they shouldn’t visit their grandparents or go do community outreach at a nursing home or hospital. But if they pass it to a teammate or opponent on the ice, it is highly unlikely the new recipient even shows symptoms.

Serious question...
Are you retarded?
If they pass it on, that means one more person (at the very least) HAS it, who can then "pass it on to old, sick people at a nursing home."
You don't want
ANY new recipients, regardless of their age or health condition.

Again what part of players shouldn’t be visiting Granny or doing community outreach in nursing homes or hospitals did you miss?
Half of the US deaths are due to nursing and assisted living facilities.

What if a given player passes it on to 7 people, and some of those people then pass it on "at a nursing home?"
Again, you do not want to have ANY new recipients.
This is basic shit.

Why don’t we want any new positive cases? The more exposure the more people who will start producing antibodies to fight this off. One doctor in CA suggested we start exposing segments of the population to it in small batches.

There's little evidence you cannot get Covid 19 twice. Plus, the Phillies just completely shut down their camp because of an outbreak. Who's got more sense? You and your quack herd immunity doctor or these teams?

Millions of deaths say what?
It is beyond time for sports to return. Will some people catch the Rona flu? Of course. They immediately get quarantined and you move on.
The citizens have basically said we are done with self quarantine. We gave it 2 months and now the weather is nice and days are longer, we are going out to public places and to restaurants. In the last week I have been in Nashville, Northern Virginia, Philly and Palm Springs. All of those places allowed in person dining. Parks and public spaces we being used. Philly and Nashville had live music in bars/restaurants.
I know you want to see our citizens and the economy suffer so Joe wins, but wishing that on your fellow humans just makes you an ass.

The Sacramento Kings are the latest NBA team to shut down their facility due to a positive coronavirus test. The team announced the news late Sunday night. It did not reveal which member of its traveling party tested positive for the virus.
The Kings are expected to depart for Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday.
Source tells @TheAthletic the Kings have shut down their practice facility after receiving a positive coronavirus test within the team’s traveling party on Sunday. The facility is not expected to reopen before the team departs for Orlando on Wednesday.

As far as soccer goes, I get it. I played the game until my sophomore year of HS. Yes it is the world’s most popular sport. A big part of that is because it takes almost nothing to play. Goat herders to islanders can play it with an all made of leaves or intestines.

Great point.
A good friend and I were discussing how the left MUST lie in order to exist.
Case in point?
Famous left wing communist filmmaker Oliver Stone.
His entire movie JFK, Is one HUGE lie.
Literally, that movie completely ignores the mountain of facts and evidence, and goes down the left wing rabbit hole of bullshit lies and propaganda.
Much like the OJ trial or the 8 years of the Obama administration.
Lying is part and parcel of being a leftist.
