So, we had a scheduled power outage this morning (SDG&E was replacing a power pole in the neighborhood) that was scheduled for 8:30 am until 3:30 pm. It actually started at about 9:15 and they turned power back on at about 1:00 pm. The Solar + battery storage worked perfectly, with just a slight flicker of our lights when the transfer switch engaged. The battery covered our usage until there was enough solar output to cover (it was pretty overcast this morning). Then the battery charged back up from the extra solar output. Battery SOC never got below 88%. The section on the left before midnight was when the battery was charging from the grid after shifting our usage from 4 pm yesterday until midnight, charging during the super off-peak period after midnight.



I get my annual "true-up" bill from SDG&E on May 26. I expect that it will be about $220, which is my entire annual payment for gas/electric. At lot of people around here are complaining about skyrocketing electric bills. I'm just not seeing it.
