Removing a Chief victory is completely wack.
No way.
I saw Chris Broussard float another idea, which he said he did not agree with, and it is this...
Assuming KC and BUF both win their final game, KC will be 14-3 and BUF will be 13-3, BUF gets the #1 seed because they beat KC head-to-head and were "robbed" of their opportunity to 14-3 due to the unfortunate situation with D. Hamlin.
I don't agree with the proposal.
I think you have to call the BUF @ CIN game a tie.
Shit happens.

Whatever is determined will set a precedent.
While this flukey scenario of a guy suffering heart stoppage
won't likely happen again in our or even our kids lifetimes,
the new breed of players will likely want to pack up and go
home when traditionally teams have played on... i.e.
significant injuries the likes of Theismann or Dennis Bird.

Good for them, having common sense is not something anyone ever accused Theisman, Bird or any of their cronies of having.

Stephen A. Smith (and others) suggested playing week 18 this weekend as scheduled.
Then for week 19, when the playoffs were scheduled to begin (January 14th and 15th), let everyone have a bye week -- except BUF and CIN, who would resume, and finish, their game.
Then start the playoffs the week after that (January 21st and 22nd).
In this scenario, the bye week after the conference championship games and before the Super Bowl would have to be eliminated.
BUF and CIN would be penalized to a degree in this proposition, because they would not get the bye week all of the other playoff teams would get, but it overall does make some sense, imo.
Given the circumstances, no suggestion is without flaw.

The league palns to carry on this weekend.
As far as stopping the game on Monday night, I didn't have a problem with it.
Nobody had confirmation that Hamlin was not dead, or
essentially dead, and it was understood that his condition was at
best critical.
Both coaches said their teams were not ready to play ball.
I was a competetive athlete
If a player I competed against fell, and paramedics had to come and give him CPR for 10 minutes, when that was over, if a substitute player was then inserted IN to take his place, and I was told to carry on, I would not do so.
I know for sure I would be too shaken to continue.

Of course the game had to end. I was 100% with it. There was no way anyone would have continued.
I was referring to talk of not finishing the game at a later date. That’s ridiculous.

You’re suggesting the NFL should shut down? Yeah, right.
There is no way to prevent what happened Monday night. It may be found that Hamlin had a predisposition to this type of event. It may have been a perfectly timed and placed impact to his heart. We won’t know for a while. But you can’t prevent episodes like this. The league did a great job responding medically…or so we’re told at this point. It appears they did. Hopefully the young man hasn’t suffered too much damage.
But you finish the game at a later date. The NFL will never be a “safe” work environment.

Yeah.
Higgins did lower his shoulder and solidly impact Hamlin (who is fairly slight, by NFL standards), right in the chest, but it was a tackle that looked very much like 1,000s of tackles we've all seen through the years.
As long as you have tackle football you will have plays like that one.

I’m suggesting your argument was crap. Because it was. There is no need to finish a game in a league that uses a fucking coin to decide tiebreakers.

Hamlin is now awake & talking with family & friends. Doctors are also saying that there doesn't appear to be any drain bamage.

It's not about use. It's about misuse.
You misuse the word Nazi. Badly. And often.
You can't even define the word, "counselor."

Made all the more ridiculous by him moving in to the Speaker's office before they even started voting.
One would think that, at some point, it will occur to him that he doesn't have the votes. He is a complete toolbag, though, so that might complicate his process.

Kudos for your tour of duty in that capacity.
You were doing your job, but it is appreciated. After I recovered from injuries sustained when a motorist tried to wipe me off the planet, I immediately went to thank the firemen and the ambulance crew who had worked to keep me alive.

Cut off a ladies Gucci purse that was wrapped around her broken arm once. My boss rightfully told her to sue, of course no lawyer (no matter how corrupt or stupid) is taking that case. The bigger worry is “He sexually assaulted me cause I woke up without my bra” allegations.

The NFL announced that the BUF @ CIN game will not be played.
They are still discussing playoff circumstances and format.
Seems possible/likely that a potential AFC title game between KC and BUF will be played at a neutral site.
Someone's fan base will not be too happy about that.
Still -----> developing.

This isn't on the players, they would have played on Tuesday - or I'm guessing they would have carried on Monday if they were told to. It's the league being aware of public relations and they're right. It's the new attitude outside of the league calling the shots, it would have been a PR disaster.

I have seen and read plenty about them not even wanting to play this weekends
games. I have also read ad nauseam of gals and bills players with their

Jackie Kennedy wanted the NFL to resume as normal.
And you can bet your ass that his family would've wanted the game to have resumed in a few days.
Only left-wing scumbag control freaks wanted total stoppage, just like they wanted total shutdown during covid, along with mandatory needles, forcibly strapped down if need be.
Of course a good old fashioned civil war would take care of these left-wing totalitarian sociopaths.
