KC, just because you aren't bothered by or even notice racism doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Nor does it make it funny.
That is a pretty profound, distinct, yet totally inaccurate statement.
You have no clue whether I am really bothered or not by actual racism,
as I have never really gone down that rabbit hole here on the board.
I would like to think that my track record over the years would have you
thinking otherwise, but that's ok. If you ask any of the old timers here,
or my .net brethren here, they will tell you I lean a little left. I tend
to go easy on the underdog. But I have 2 eyes and 2 ears. I do not
decide how I feel about any subject based on ones skin color. Plenty
of white folks are right, when done wrong by non-whites. Plenty of
non-whites are done wrong by crackers. It's a case by case basis.
However, this is a chat board. There was a time I would have called this a
smack board, but most of the smack has disappeared. There is very
little smack at all.... just some chatter. No one here on this chatboard
is black, white, brown, purple or green. We are all equal up and until
our words elevate or lower us. True racism has never been funny, nor will it
ever be. But poking fun at each others differences always has, and always
will be.
