He never got significant playing time at tOSU while behind McCord last year and Howard this year. Hes a good kid and teammate by all accounts, well liked by players and fans. Not sure how good he will be.

He seems to have a knack for getting hurt. He was named the starter for the Cotton Bowl last year vs Mizzou, which was a meaningless game in which much of Ohio State’s roster didn’t play (McCord had already announced his transfer). Brown got injured early in the game, despite an eagerness by fans to see what he could do.

If McCord’s success at Syracuse this year (minus the Pitt game) is any indication, Brown might do well at Cal. Apparently the writing is on the wall at tOSU that Julian Sayin is next up at QB. Air Noland just transferred to South Carolina.
