Read the rest of your post for starters.
Human capital is not conceptually similar to financial capital? Are these not resources with which organizations utilize to operate their business? Human resources is the management of a business resource. How is that PC?
HR is a nice way of saying you manage people like units in a warehouse. Basicly, you're an annoying little beancounting bitch.
We could still call it "Personnel," however that's a much narrower view of the employee as a cog in the wheel.
That would at least be more honest.
The personnel approach is merely hiring it, paying it, and then separating it from the firm at some future point. Personnel is a process concept. Meanwhile, human resources has a much broader view and it's an organizational development concept. It's something different than merely moving the employee through their employment life in the organization. So, uh, yeah, it is an "honest living."
Typical HR bullshit. A whole lot of words with no content.
Your boy is doing well alientating significant parts of the electorate. And you guys have the audacity to tell us that Bush is divisive?? I don't Bush slandering tens of millions of Americans for having the same faith as he, calling them evil, telling them they don't do honest work, etc.

I mean, of course you CAN do that, but it really makes the person making that claim look dumber than a pile of rocks outside a community college.
Tom, I swear Emerson had your picture dancing in his head when he was thinking of hobgoblins and little minds.
As for Human Resources. They provide vital support and service. To say it's not an honest living, is not an honest statement.
Vital support and service???
You sure you didn't start hitting the sauce again? Maybe the HR secretary provides a vital service or two. That's about it.

Still doesn't change the fact, Bush graduated from Yale, a school of high esteem throughout the world, with a C average.
I know I wasn't able to get in to Yale. Were you ?
As for HR, maybe you don't feel they've "served" you well in your career. Perhaps that could be because you come across as an arrogant person that makes unmerited claims to being "right" all the time. You're a good democrat.

Basicly, HR has been an annoyance to be swatted away every so often. They create stupid little "action items" and them expect you to pretend these items are important. Like making everybody sign off that they have read the 50 page T&E guidelines, even the people who will NEVER travel for the company.

You're trying to tell me that every kid who had a daddy that went to Yale, graduated ? None flunked out because they didn't do the required work ?
Sounds like you're bitter that your father didn't go to Yale and didn't hand YOU things on a silver platter.
Yeah, HR. Can't live with them, can't live without them. The moment your benefits are fouled up or navigating your way through them is like crossing a rainforest, they're worthwhile. But they suck, when they create policy and procedure that actually make you have to earn the money the company pays you.

B just cannot help but lie. Even his own source contradicts him:
For the most part, no. We admit applicants need-blind. The admissions applications are kept separate from the financial statements. But we do advise the admissions office about applications coming from the children or grandchildren of significant donors and of alumni who have given significant volunteer service. People in the admissions world call these "institutional cases." Which doesn't mean they're automatically admitted! Many of our generous donors and active volunteers are disappointed every year, but most understand how high the standard of admission is, and most would not want it any other way.

No, my wife is not in HR. It's just that I value the effort, work ethic, and dedication of my fellow American brothers and sisters. Be they in HR, MacDonald's, Wendy's, Garbage Pick Up, or CEO. I'm shocked that a member of the party that makes unmerited claim to all that is compassionate, fair and just would be so disrespectful of hard working people. Well, actually, I'm not shocked in the least.

Don't blame HR, fool. Blame the unions, trial lawyers and the courts. We require everyone to sign an acknowledgement form indicating that they received any one of our policies, including employee handbooks.
Why? For represented employees, if we discipline them for violating a work policy, we will lose the grievance arbitration if they demonstrate that they didn't receive the policy.
For non-represented employees, if we terminate their employment for violating a work policy we will lose the resulting trial if they demonstrate that they didn't receive the policy.
In both instances we have to reinstate the employee, pay them retoactively for lost pay, and then continue to deal now with a problem employee.
So complain all you want, dipshit. The fact is that you do not know what you are talking about.
HR saves organizations gobs of cash by developing efficient compensation plans, avoiding costly litigation over wrongful terminations, and negotiating fair collective bargaining agreements.
BTW - what do you do, B?

It's a pretty simple formula, Tom.
Yale legacy students with C averages "earn" them if they are Democrats like John Kerry and they are "given" them if they are Republicans like George W.
Nice logical fallacy. Of course I never said Kerry earned his grades either.

Why are you still talking about me?
Posted: Tue Jun 14, 2005 8:03 pm

Because you are always involved in this shit. You do it with everyone who doesn't agree with you. First you put down their argument as meaningless, usually accompanied with personal insults, then when they lash back or defend their point you turn up the volume with criticism, insults and attacks, instead of discussion. If someone disagrees with you, they are always wrong. You've convinced yourself that you "get over" on everyone every time, but that is not the point of this forum.
You do this with everyone here who happens to disagree with you. Miss D, Bsmack, Me, anyone who has an opinion that does not match yours. You are the match that starts the flame whether you want to believe it or not. The first post in this thread that started it down this road was you telling Bsmack to keep sucking deans dick. That is what you do best, set the bait and wait for the response so you can turn around and blame someone else.
You just don't get it that you can disagree with someone and not make it your goal to blast them out of the water in every thread. Nearly everyone else who posts here regularly does get it. I may not agree with what mvscal says, but rarely do the two of us take pot shots at each other. He has his opinion, I have mine. Period. I don't always agree with variable, but you don't see the two of us bickering constantly over the fine points of our opinions.
Your act is really getting tired.

Disagree. The DNC is a mess right now for sure, but the rank and file want it to be fixed, they want solid leadership, so the problem lies with the leadership.
Of course they're bitter, dude. They've been trounced in several elections in a row, due mostly to a lack of unity, a poor delivery of their message coupled with a decided lack of clear direction, and a lack of good leaders.
