As did Joe by saying our Pro bowler was an average QB.
I just call em' like I see em' Trev. Drew has average physical ability but is poised in the pocket. I see him finishing somewhere in the middle of the QB pack. I don't believe he'll finish in the top 10 this year, because even when Gates does return he won't be wide open for the first 8 games of the season like last year.
...The first game is definitely going to be interesting, and I think it will also give a better read on Brees going forward (as well as Dallas' ability to stop the run).
That it will be Dana, but perhaps more importantly than Gates will be whether the Charger defense has improved. NT Jamal Williams has started out how he left off last season, controlling the middle and forcing runners outside the OT's. The improvement needs to come with the pass rush. If guys like Shawn Philips and Merriman can step up opposite Foley the Chargers D is going to be good to go. And of course we all know Bloodhole has all the movement of a rooted tree.

Are you kidding? Gates misses one game against mediocre Dallas. Comparatively, they've sent a clear message to the entire team that they won't be bullied, no matter the caliber of the player, but will still negotiate in good faith. They've showed that they will stand strong, but will still negotiate in good faith. How do they lose on that?
