Hilarious, but not surprising.
Virginia GOP congressional candidate Derrick Anderson has issued a warning to his Democratic opponent, Eugene Vindman, over campaign ads accusing Anderson of trying to pass off someone else’s wife and three daughters as his own family.

Anderson, who is unmarried and has no children, made national headlines in September after The New York Times discovered his campaign was using footage of him posing with the woman and children in what could easily be mistaken for a family photo shoot, except it turned out to be a friend’s family.
......
But in the final days of this election cycle, Vindman and Democratic groups are running a barrage of campaign ads accusing Anderson, who reportedly lives with his dog and is engaged, of trying to give voters the impression that he’s a family man. And on Monday, Anderson’s campaign responded with an official-sounding letter declaring that Vindman and local TV stations don’t have the right to air images of the family seen in Anderson’s videos.
......
The problem with the Anderson campaign’s demands is that the images of him with the woman and children are still publicly available on the National Republican Congressional Committee’s so-called red box website, where campaigns publish materials available for super PACs to pick up and use in ads.

In other words, Anderson is claiming Vindman and Democratic political groups can’t use these images in political ads at the same the NRCC is making them available for use in ads.

Yes, we hear about this fucking idiot all the time during football games. Dude is so embarrassed about his familial status that he had people with no shame pretend to be his FUCKING family for campaign photos. Now, he's predictably getting blasted for these photos and he's publicly filling his diaper over it.

Hard to believe this race is even as close as it is. Vindman should be cruising.

Now THIS would be GOP bullshit.

"What the hell is going on in the US Senate? Hours after Donald Trump wins the most conclusive mandate in 40 years, Mitch McConnell engineers a coup against his agenda by calling early leadership elections in the senate. Two of the three candidates hate Trump and what he ran on. One of them, John Cornyn, is an angry liberal whose politics are indistinguishable from Liz Cheney’s. The election is Wednesday, it’s by secret ballot, and it will determine whether or not the new administration succeeds. Rick Scott of Florida is the only candidate who agrees with Donald Trump. Call your senator and demand a public endorsement of Rick Scott. Don’t let McConnell get away with it again."

Elon Musk changes his tune on H1-B visas as he tries to cool raging MAGA civil war over skilled immigration

Elon Musk admitted that the H1-B visas are “broken” and floated a potential fix as he sought to cool a raging civil war within the MAGA base over the immigration program for highly skilled foreign workers.

Just a day after vowing to “go to war on this issue” and telling detractors to “F— yourself,” Musk, the world’s richest man, acknowledged some of the criticisms of the program getting abused and argued that the US should make it more costly to hire foreigners.

“Easily fixed by raising the minimum salary significantly and adding a yearly cost for maintaining the H1B, making it materially more expensive to hire from overseas than domestically,” Musk wrote on X late Saturday in response to a thread claiming H1-B visas were being used to hire low-wage programmers and developers.

Man accused of attacking TV reporter, saying ‘This is Trump’s America now’

A Colorado man is facing possible bias-motivated charges for allegedly attacking a television news reporter after demanding to know whether he was a citizen, saying “This is Trump’s America now,” according to court documents.

Patrick Thomas Egan, 39, was arrested December 18 in Grand Junction after police say he followed KKCO/KJCT reporter Ja’Ronn Alex’s vehicle for around 40 miles from the Delta area. Alex told police that he believed he had been followed and attacked because he is Pacific Islander.

After arriving in Grand Junction, Egan, who was driving a taxi, pulled up next to Alex at a stoplight and, according to an arrest affidavit, said something to the effect of: “Are you even a US citizen? This is Trump’s America now! I’m a Marine and I took an oath to protect this country from people like you!”

Alex, who had been out reporting, then drove back to his news station in the city. After he got out of his vehicle, Egan chased Alex as he ran toward the station’s door and demanded to see his identification, according to the document laying out police’s evidence in the case. Egan then tackled Alex, put him in a headlock and “began to strangle him,” the affidavit said. Coworkers who ran out to help and witnesses told police that Alex appeared to be losing his ability to breathe during the attack, which was partially captured on surveillance video, according to the document.

According to the station’s website, Alex is a native of Detroit. KKCO/KJCT reported that he was driving a news vehicle at the time.

Egan was arrested on suspicion of bias-motivated crimes, second degree assault and harassment. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday to learn whether prosecutors have filed formal charges against him.

Egan’s lawyer, Ruth Swift, was out of the office Friday and did not return a telephone message seeking comment.

KKCO/KJCT vice president and general manager Stacey Stewart said the station could not comment beyond what it has reported on the attack.

I’d suggest that his cabinet appointments couldn’t possibly be as inept as Biden’s have been. So…on that point, I’m good with most of his choices.

His “threats” are a means to get the attention of countries he wants to rein in as far as trade, border security, etc. Undoubtedly there are more diplomatic ways to do that, but , after 4 years of being walked all over, his point is that shit is over and done. We won’t be kowtowing to anyone any more.

Mess?! After the last 4 years of looking like retarded fools to the rest of the world, I’ll take this “mess” over what we’ve been dealing with.

More of a publicity stunt. Same as last time, tariffs were met dollar for dollar and then quietly swept under the rug. So no..you won't be getting manufacturing and industry back, sorry. It's a broken record.

It's a stunt, but not necessarily for publicity. Remember how he harped on about the price of eggs & groceries in general? When's the last time he talked about them (several weeks ago when he had a rare moment of honesty & admitted he had no power to lower grocery prices)? When's the last time that the media has brought them up? What have they been talking about lately (hint: not grocery prices). He's leading MAGAts & media around with all these squirrel moments.

Access to dairy or something similar will come up only when the tariffs fail, same as last time. Ultimately I think it got a 1 - 2% increase in foreign markets. The EU does similar things at election time but it's a one off, you can only do it once.
