A given country is unable to even begin to discern what the U.S. trade position is, let alone make a deal on anything.

The U.S. positions and messaging has been so wholly inconsistent that nobody can determine wtf the U.S. even wants.
Nobody can determine what is going on... and what will be going on tomorrow, a week from tomorrow, next month, next year, or five years from now.
It has been a total clusterfvck.
And now to top that off, the legality of the U.S. approach is in serious question.


From the perspective of another country, it would seem that the U.S. President has simply been carrying out a 2 month temper tantrum.

The obvious response to that is, "Well, just let him cry it out."


There will be no deals.

There will be war.
