My point was that the good people of Omaha would welcome the assistance, if it became necessary. Unlike the dumbasses running LA and Cali.
You mean as opposed to the “bad” people of Omaha, who happen to be their neighbors and coworkers?

Oh that’s right. I forgot that they’re all drug dealers, gangsters, rapists and child traffickers brought here by the evil food processors to undermine our democracy.
Geez! “Good people “ means the citizens of Omaha. All of them. Pretty commonly used term.

Christ, do all leftists struggle with comprehension?!
Geez, do all MAGAts struggle with simple logic and critical thought?

Why do you insist in grouping everyone into a few simplistic categories?
  • All non-MAGAts are woke leftist socialists and in favor of violent protest.
  • All protestors are violent anarchist commies.
  • All citizens of Omaha would welcome the assistance of the National Guard and the Marines to root out the foreign invaders working in the meat packing plant, their co-workers and sympathetic neighbors who have been taking part in any protest. Because none of these people could actually be citizens of Omaha, but bussed in each day from somewhere else to steal American jobs, eat our pets, and kill and rape and push fentanyl.
You must be drowning in the Kool-Aid, and as blind as he rest of MAGAtastan for not realizing that these deployments are deliberately provocative actions meant to stir up violence, for your benefit, not quell it. I wouldn't be surprised if the administration was planting people in the protests to instigate violent behavior on that side. I know you won't believe that, but you probably think the the Democrats planted FBI agents to stir up the Jan 6 mob.

I can't wait to see all those MAGAts rushing to the farm fields to take over the picking of fruits & vegetables after President TACO gets rid of all the illegal immigrants doing the work now.

And Florida/Alabama? If a a significantly powerful hurricane or tornado hits your state's you'll be fucked when there's no day laborers to help construction contractors rebuild your home.

I'm sure that everything will be hunky dory by the end of hurricane season when there a bunch of destroyed homes in red states with no disaster funding & no construction laborers....

As someone who lives in an area frequented in recent years by several destructive hurricanes, I’ve yet to meet anyone who thinks FEMA does jack shit. The state programs carry the heavy lifting after a big one, and do so efficiently. Maybe there is some reimbursement etc. But in terms of boots on the ground. FEMA is largely feckless. What has FEMA done recently that someone can point to as a job well done? North Carolina anyone?

Then scale down the department to a handful of accountants pushing down block grants to the states. Same for the Dpt of Education

Block grants wouldn't work. Too much variance from state to state, year to year.

FEMA reimbursement would work just fine. I had a former partner who worked for FEMA as a retirement gig. After a disaster, FEMA would fly him to a fucked-up place, put him and other FEMA people in the nicest hotel that was not destroyed and he would sit in an office helping people fill out the complex forms that FEMA requires before they will do anything. He said it was frustrating because the forms required information that people who had a home destroyed simply could not provide. At the end of the day, he and his other FEMA compatriots would head to the local bar/restaurant that was still functioning and crush their per diem. When the number of people trying in vain to fill out a form fell to a trickle, he would go to the airport and wait for the next opportunity to be worthless to people in need. He did it for a few years and said it was a hopeless situation and gave it up.

As you know living so close to the Big Easy, disasters are enormous, complicated and acute. Certain types of aid need to be delivered immediately. Other stuff can wait. FEMA has a very, very bad track record of actually delivering anything of value in a timely manner. They are pretty good at doling out cash to the state once all the i's have been dotted and the t's have been crossed. But for the average Joe on the fucked-up street, they do little but deliver frustration wrapped in big bows of red tape.

If you let Louisiana prepare for the type's of disasters that typically befall Louisiana and let Iowa prepare for the completely different disasters that befall that area (insert any state's name), they would do a better job or get fired the next time ballots get cast. With FEMA there is no accountability. Just shrugs.

Of course not. That's not what they're supposed to do.

Waste of money. No one was going to show up anyways. How many dumbfuckistanians do you think can afford to make it to DC?

Sen. Alex Padilla was forcibly removed from a news conference and handcuffed Thursday morning as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was speaking on recent immigration enforcement operations in the lawmaker's hometown of Los Angeles.

The stunning altercation unfolded as Noem was speaking at a federal building in Los Angeles, where days of protests have erupted in the city's downtown area over the ICE raids. Padilla was removed from the room after saying, "You insist on exaggerating." At least two men identified as Secret Service agents by the Department of Homeland Security approached Padilla, a Democrat, near a wall and pushed him through doors near the rear of the room.

He could be heard saying, "I am Sen. Alex Padilla and I have questions for the secretary" before he was removed, handcuffed and held facedown on the floor in a hallway.

At least then didn't tase him, 'bro.

I'm not sure what Alex Padilla did to get escorted out but I'm 100% certain he did it intentionally. Getting ahead in Democrat politics means making a spectacle of yourself and fundraising with the notoriety.

Ditto.

I think we should see a daily "cuff and floor" a Senator or Congressman until all of them have been handled.

Each day would be a new belly laff.

Good times!

Do you believe 55% tariffs will equate to 55% price increases?
