In another post, also believed to have been written by McDaniel, he asks: "Does anybody have the guts to say this Covid19 is a political ploy? Asking for a friend. Prove me wrong."
Mr McDaniel was unable to respond to a request for comment prior to publication as to whether he still believed Covid 19 was a political ploy.

Skeptics like myself do not deny that there is a viral respiratory infection that can result in death. They all do some one degree or another. We have this thing called an immune system. It consists of white blood cells, and the ability to produce antibodies which can "tie up" a virus for the white cells to eat for lunch. A healthy person will probably get better as their system is working OK. If you are not healthy, have a week immune system, or whatever, you will die. A vaccine is made of the virus in a couple of forms and that gives you a "taste" of the disease and you build antibodies w/o having to be very ill. We've all had probably quite an assortment of viruses in our lives and you were sick from mildly to severe, but you got better and now have immunity to that virus.
Now that you have a basic understanding of viral disease, what I am skeptical about are the draconian measure being foisted on us. I just do not think they are necessary. Prove me wrong.
Actually its a good thing that some states will adopt the Sweden model of response. Like a real scientific study, it will give us some data as to what works best for society when the next virus comes along---and it will.

Excuse me? The data suggests that social distancing is THE #1 reason why we have been able to flatten the curve and actually have somewhat of decent control over the spread of #19. I'm sorry the orange buffoon you voted for isn't parroting this line, but the scientists, you know, the ones we should be listening to, have said exactly this.

Social distancing and mass testing was the recipe for success in S. Korea.
The issue is ongoing, but things are much better here than they are in the U.S.

Unless America is able to get testing significantly ramped up it is going to be a problem.

Airlines say deal on bailout includes provisions for government ownership

JetBlue Airways Corp. US:JBLU said the government will “receive a limited number of warrants, which are the right to buy shares in JetBlue at a predetermined price.”

Delta Air Lines Inc. US:DAL said it’s getting $5.4 billion from the government’s Payroll Support Program for airlines. Part of that will come through a $1.6 billion loan, and the carrier said it “will provide the government with warrants to acquire about 1 percent of Delta stock at $24.39 per share over five years.”

American Airlines Group Inc. US:AAL said it expected to receive $5.81 billion, in a move that would involve a $1.71 billion loan and warrants that would let the government buy 13.7 million shares of common stock at $12.51 per share.

That perfectly describes you.

You understand what the warrants are for right? The government gets depressed stocks. If/when the price climbs the government sells it and we the citizens get some of our money back. If the stock price falls, we get no money back. If we don’t have the warrants we also get nothing back. So having the warrants is a good thing.

Color me shocked you wouldn’t understand given your stock market predictions.

Helicopter Money for Wall Street (3/26/20)

https://wolfstreet.com/2020/03/26/helic ... nce-sheet/

Total assets on the Fed’s weekly balance sheet, released this afternoon, spiked by $586 billion in one week, to $5.25 trillion. This doesn’t even include yet the bulk of the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) the Fed bought over the past two weeks because the Fed books them when its trades settle, and MBS trades take a while to settle. So they will show up later.

Over the past two weeks, total assets have ballooned by $942 billion – again not including the bulk of the MBS it bought during that time, which will be booked when they settle. Money creation at its finest:

Image

If the Fed had sent that $942 billion it created over the past two weeks to the 130 million households in the US, each household would have received $7,250. But that didn’t happen. That was helicopter money for Wall Street.

Since mid-September when the Fed started bailing out the repo market that had blown out, total assets on the Fed’s balance sheet soared by $1.41 trillion. If the Fed had sent that $1.41 trillion to the 130 million households in the US, each household would have received $10,840. But that didn’t happen either. It was helicopter money for Wall Street...

And as of today...

It boggles the mind that "conservatives" actually, with a straight face, seek to rationalize this or act as if there is nothing to see here.
