By "goes for at least 150 yards" I'll clarify just so there's no confusion:

Dio wagers a one week sig bet that Ladanian Tomlinson rushes for 150 total yards on Sunday vs. the Chiefs.

It's a bet

You (like pussy Jeff) took a sig bet, lost, were tagged with a sig (that did NOT violate board rules in any fashion), and refused to wear the sig.

As a matter of public record, you are a welcher.

Your given reason for refusing the sig that was given you?

It somehow violated your oh-so-tender sensibilites as a verrah patriotic American.

Nevermind that NOBODY on the board stood up and took sides with you on the issue.
Nevermind that the sig in question came not close to breaking any board rule.

No, the fact of the matter was that YOU simply took a stand, as a baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet sort of fella, and declared that you couldn't stoop to accept a Paul Walker Lindh reference in the sig given to you.

Paul Walker Lindh.......oh so sick, twisted, and anti-American.

So now here you are in this thread running Pearl Harbor smack.

Not only that, but you are running it from the point of view of how delightful it was for the Japs to get off on the US.

I'm a man of 2nd chances.....3rd, 4th...or 5th.

Come correct right now.

Apologize for your idiocy in not accepting that sig given to you.

Be done with it.

That, or shut your fat pie hole, your ridiculous pile of pig slop.
RACK THAT!!!!

RuPaul Walker Lindh will get back to you after he finishes slamming cakes, pies, eclairs, candy and fudge........

150 yards rushing, correct.

Degenerate gamblers take note. since this means me and my jinx factor just singlehandedly shut down LT. the smart money now is on KC.

You still want the over. BTW.

Not necessarily, bro.

Btw, I bet on KC this weekend. Knowing my luck, LT will run for 151, and the Chargers will win by 7.

More likely (now) he runs for 145 and recieves for another 50 or so.

Still a tossup to see whose secondary can suck the most.

We all know that 'bout anything is fair game for smack so long as it's not against board rules, Paul.

Some things I personally don't care to use.
Everyone has their own standard, I s'pose.

Thick skin is pretty much a requirement if one plans to mix it up in here over a period of time, like a bunch of us have.

I just find it 'interesting' that you'd choose to run Pearl Harbor smack (from the JAP point of view, no less) when you squeeeeled like stuck pig when you were required to wear a Walker Lindh reference as part of a sig.

And btw, the board didn't 'melt down' when you began your welching fiasco, fat boy.

No, as in the case with Jeff, the board ran over you like a rat in the middle of the freeway.

Bwhaha....nice thread Truman.

The biggest difference between the Bolts last year and this, is the Oline or lack there of. Yes, Philly played excellent defense last week but don’t let that fool you into believing their defense is as good as the stats Vs the Bolts suggest.

Charger Oline coach Carl Mauck has played a big role in the problem. He is obviously no where near the coach Hudson Houck was. He should have known Bob Hallen is a scrub and incapable of starting as a center for injured Nick Hardwick. The guy is such a weak blocker he can't even hold his own as a guard. Yet Mauck or Marty has kept him on the team and started him at Center because of experience. Obviously the type of experience must not matter because Hallen has always been a scrub.

What Mauck should have done is move ORG Mike Goff to center. At least Goff knows what he is doing and has played well at center in his career. They could have played rookie Scott Mruczkowski at Goff's right guard position, the kid played well in preseason. Backup OLG Kris Dielman just plain sucks. The more I watch the guy the more I think he is only on the team because he's a Marty favorite. The teams blind support of him makes no sense. He probably messes up 1/4 to 1/3 of his blocks in one way or another which is way too much for a starter or even backup. They would have been better playing backup OT Leander Jordan there. Of course Jordan sucks too, as a tackle. The guy is just too slow to play tackle and that’s his problem. Playing guard he wouldn't have to move laterally so much and probably not play so badly. It's not like he hasn't played as a guard because he has. I would rather see Jordan at guard than Dielman who plays on his knees or on his back way too often and is no where close to the dominating blocker Fonti was when he‘s healthy and in shape . It's also obvious that ORT Shane Olivea was limited due to injury, but the Chargers don’t have anybody else to play there. Over the last few years Charger GM AJ Smith has neglected the Oline using 2nd day picks in the draft, and signing veteran journeymen. Now the lack of depth is holding the Chargers back. I expect LT to do better Vs the Chiefs, but nothing outrageous.

The Charger defense last week played as good as I’ve seen it since the Seau and Rodney Harrison days. They’ll need to suck it up and make a couple of big plays for San Diego to secure the victory. Well at least one big play.

Chargers - 27

Griefs - 23

Off to the tailgate party........ :D

Are you insane? That O line allowed LT to average 109 YPG before the Birds game. Philly's run D is alot better than their stats show- see below for something I posted in a different thread-

Philly's run D is better than the stats show... They lost Trotter in week 1 and gave up 200 yards rushing, they were short Darwin Walker against Dallas which killed them... but with the whole healthy defense they had the LT game, held Lamont Jordan to 19 yards on 16 attempts and other than first two poseesion of the KC game (in which Priest ran for 61 yards on 10 carries- which is unacceptable) they held him to 23 yards on 9 carries and LJ to 34 yards on 7 carries (one of which was a 21 yard scamper).

They shut him down. You can make all the excuses you want- but they were able to lock down LT- something EVERYONE said couldn't happen.

Posted: Sun Oct 30, 2005 5:16 pm

BBMarley it's not too easy to run between the Tackles when the Center is getting his ass handed to him every play. I gave Philly credit for playing "excellent D", I just believe if the Chargers had their starters playing the out come would have been much different, and not that close.

I also believe Philly won't come close too matching that performance again this year. Not to mention McNabb's injury won't get better, and his lack of a deep ball brings the Eagles back to the NFC East pack, because their offense (80% passes 15 yards or less) is much easier to defend.

Posted: Sun Oct 30, 2005 5:24 pm

They shut him down by stacking the line and counting on their CBs to cover the Dolts weak ass incompletion corps.

The Chiefs don't have the defenders to repeat that.

Posted: Sun Oct 30, 2005 5:27 pm
by BBMarley
I think over the course of the next few weeks- you'll see the ball run more... They have been behind alot early- and makes them throw. They tried to run early last week- but penalties and s atuch SD run D killed them. I don't think this week will get much better as Denver is much better against the run than the D- but it will get better. They'll never be 50-50, that's not Reid's cochaing style- never has been- but 65-35, 60-40 percent are very possible over the next few weeks.

Plus- Westbrook still takes alot of swing passes and get rolled into the flat alot- which they look at as a running game due to the mismatch he provides against a LB. This makes the 75% passing harder to defend than a standard WR. If #5 can get his long passes back- they will be able to exploit the mismatches again in the secondary as well...

I don't see any likely scenario where the Chefs finish 10-6, nor do I see any likely scenario where they don't finish at least a game or two behind the Chargers. The only likely scenario I see for the Chefs is for them to end up no better than 3rd in the division- and even that depends more on how the Raiders second half of the season goes than how the Chefs final 8 games end up.
