Israel isn't targeting the Lebanese government. But yeah, they were pretty much fucked when Hezbollah decided to start this shit.

A terror-friendly government? Not really a fair assessment, considering they were still trying to solidify basic institutions following the Syrian withdrawl.

By not complying with UN 1559 at any level makes them "friendly" to Hezbollah, no matter what their reason. If they made any attempt to disarm Hezbollah over the past year, then you could make an arguement, but they did nothing, zero, zip nada. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

While that may seem true on the surface, placating the nutters by appointing a couple of Hezbollah cabinent ministers is probably the best that could be done under the circumstances.

Bottom line, the Lebanese government (which, yes, does include Hezbollah members) never lifted a finger to stop or even dissuade Hezbollah even after Lebanese soil was used by Hezbollah to launch rockets into Israel.

Unless you have access to hidden media, not sure Israel acceded to anything.....your crystal ball may be on the blink. If Israel succumbs to the appeasers, it will be their loss in the future....and the world's.....
