Hey, btw, look at this pic I found on the interweb. Whoever this is, does he still play for the Saints? Stupid fuck.

Turley's chilled out since he stopped taking the juice.

Blast that Wags will counter with in 5-4-3-2-1
1. He nearly had his head yanked off by Esther Rolle last week!
2. L.T. only had 36 yds. vs. Pittsburgh. (yeah but we won 23-13 and Turner had 56 yds.)
3. After the plungering we took this week in Pittsburgh, I feel sorry for the Bolts coming to Arrowhead.
4. Roaf, Saunders, Edwards..take your pick, its all their fault.
5. ChargerMike, ()%&*(^__*(&)*& off
bump
I'm eagerly awaiting this weeks LJ update.

As good a game as he had, he's still even further off the pace he needed to break the record.

Yeah. I never thought he'd come close to breaking that record in the first place. I bumped it mainly for ChargerMike.

Wagon called for 2,200 yards and 24 TD's
LJ got 1,789 and 19 TD's.
Them's the facts.

It's pretty neat to go back and read what all the haters wrote in this thread. Sure he didn't have the 2,000 yard season that the media and some Chief fans predicted. He had a great season though. NFL record for carries in a season. 11 100 yard rushing games good for #1 in the NFL. Not too shabby considering all the rotation on the O-line this year. All the 8 and 9 man fronts he saw. The loss of T-Rich and Roaf. I'm curious as to what all the haters in this thread have to say now.

Enjoy him while it lasts. I give him 3 more years of this kind of workload at best.

...my thoughts exactly Bri. Nice year by LJ seeing he set a single season record for
CARRIES with 416. They keep those kind of numbers going and he'll be lucky to be around in three years. A beast he is, but even a beast can only take so many trainwrecks.

The workload is a definite concern. I read somewhere that every player to come anywhere near that number of carries has got injured or had a subpar season following it. Now he has at least one more game this season. It will be interesting to see how he does in 2007.

The only player to have ever followed up a 400+ carry season with more than 1 1000 season has been Eric Dickerson. Dickerson had 3 1000 seasons after his 404 carry 1986 season. The other 2 backs with 400+ carry seasons previous to LJ were Jamal Anderson and James Wilder. Both of them had exactly 1 1000 yard season after their 400+ carry season. Herman Edwards needs to look at guys like Walter Payton and Emmitt Smith and their workloads as a model for LJ if he wants to have him around for any length of time.

Almost nailed it EXACTLY.
