I rarely read Lemming, but he can't be as bad as Beano is he?? Everytime I hear Beano talk, I wish he'd just shut the fuck up about whatever it is he's saying and just give me a "Notre Dame's got material." That's all I ever wanna hear him say.

Like I said, Killian, I don't read much of Lemming's act because I'm not a big follower of recruiting outside of Iowa and because the little I've read of him I have not been impressed.

jon,
Lemming has told kids that if they sign with FSU (he hates FSU), he will dog them in his rankings. Howeer, he has said he would be more favorable to them if they commit to ND. He diretly has attempted to influence kids to go to ND. Dude should be banned from CFB and everything associated with it.

Figures. I don't know why ANYONE gives him a podium to speak from. He's horrible for the college game. His constant ND homerism denials always have me rolling.
The funniest part was when Davie and Willingham wouldn't give him access. He fucking hammerd ND every chance he got. Now that Weis has played nice with him, he rarely says a cross word about ND. ND can't land any defensive talent to save their life, not a peep out of Neck.
He really missed the boat by not getting his own site when the internet exploded.

Who was the kid that stood in front of the podium with a ND hat and a FSU hat at the All-American HS game and goes (paraphrasing) "I've always wanted to play for Notre Dame. Everyone wants me to play for Notre Dame. etc etc." and then throws on the Seminoles hat and goes "I'm gonna be a Seminole." Was that Lorenzo Booker?
As for if that is true what Frisco just said about Lemming, yeah, he should be banned from anything associated with college athletics. If true, he's a piece of shit.

I may have a point off just a little but the overall story is true. I believe it was Booker too as an example of one of the players he did that to.

It wasn't at the AA Bowl, and Booker didn't say that. He said something about all 4 schools and put the FSU hat on.
Lemming has an axe to grind with Booker because Booker did commit to ND before the press conference. He called Willingham, he called Lemming, and he gave quotes for a national story that either Jamie Newberg or Scott Kenedy ran with an hour or two before the announcement.
Booker switched at the last second and made Lemming look like an ass. Lemming acted like a 4 year old and decided to start bashing Booker. Booker didn't take it without a fight and fought back.
The thing is, Lemming doesn't just push kids to ND. Now, he pushes them to Iowa and Nebraska because he is buddy-buddy with Ferentz and Callahan. He pushes them to UofM and ND because of their precieved "academic advantages" (he's fucking from Chicago, those are his two teams). There are a handful of other schools that he pushes, too.
Luckily, his visability and influence has taken a dramatic down turn in the past few years because of the rise of sites like Rivals and Scout, and because he got fired from ESPN. He still has a name, but that name is slowly fading. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Army All-American game sever ties with him in the near future.

ND fucked up by not offering him early,
I don't follow recruiting that closely, so I missed the connection to ND until you mentioned it. Agreed with that in mind.
It's amazing to me, considering how ND pursues legacies among non-athletes, that they aren't nearly as aggressive in pursuing legacies among athletes.

Booker is a liar, considering he called Willingham and told him himself that he was coming. Not to mention giving interviews saying he was committed to ND.

More bullshit. I dont know how Urban is going to keep all these promises. I seriously would love to be a fly on the wall when he is talking to these kids.
That's like what, the 6th kid in the past month that has de-committed out of the blue now?

He's 18. This is how the conversation probably went:
"We know you want to play WR. UorM is a great school, but they will make you a CB. Did you see how I use my WR's? Come play WR for the defending national champion Florida Gators, in the warm weather, and get all the hot pussy you can handle."
Where do I sign?

You don't know the first to be true, and when was the second made illegal? Every coach and school does that. I know for a fact Carr does it as well.

Don't be so upset with Urban...he is just doing his job. Who cares what he tells recruits. FL will always get theirs and we will always get ours. Since 2000 FSU has been in the Top 5 in recruiting every year but one, that year we only took 19 kids. This year will much the same. We are in the mix for some very talented skill players at this point, we are already starting to see the same type of closing power for FSU that we have seen year after year after year after year after year after year.
Besides, remember the classes that Zook brought in? He had some great classes and he didn't do shit with them. The point is, we will suck and FL will be good no matter who we bring in, as long as our coaching remains subpar and theirs remains elite. I'd like to say we are taking big steps to end the subpar coaching, but I will have to wait and watch the 2007 season before I can be 100% sure. Either way our coaching can't get any worse, so an upswing is certainly in the near future.
And Killian, Booker always stated that the decision between FSU and ND was the toughest decision of his life. So regardless of what others may say, he was definitely down to ND and FSU. In the end, it was his love for the 'Noles and also Lemming that pushed him to Tally.

Do you really want to go down this road with me?
Here are a few small accomplishments of Fisher: Between 2000 and 2005, Fisher's offense's set 13 school records, including points in a season (475 in 2003), total yards (5,857 in 2003), and passing touchdowns (30 in 2003). 13 offensive records set while at LSU...yeah, I bet that guy sucks, I wouldn't trust him taking over an offense that was run by Jeff Bowden...
BTW, how many points did your offense score against Alabama last year? Auburn this year? A weak ass FSU team this year? Not to mention that offensive onslaught you gave South Carolina this year...what did you get? 16-17 points? Congrats, obviously the output you would expect from a well oiled offensive machine like Florida and their genius OC.
I look forward to your worthless smack talk about how FSU is circling the drain.
Have fun!

These are just from today:
1)Jon Demps was just kicked off the team. Supposedly it was b/c of a fight w/ another player, but is that really enough to kick a guy off the team? Marcus Thomas was still on the team after failing a couple of drug tests. Avery Atkins beat up his g/f and Urban tried his hardest to keep him on the team. Demps hurt his ACL, couldnt play and thus Urban found a way to take away his schollie.
2) Bert Reed commited to the Gates a while back. He is a 4 Star athlete who will play WR and once Reed decided that he would take a visit to Tallahassee, Urban threatened to take away his scholarship. I guess Bert called his bluff and Urban yanked it. The spin on Gatorbait is that "they are going in another direction."
He's a big hypocrite b/c he routinely goes after other school's kids who are committed and tries to sway them. He has the nerve to be outraged when a kid decided to take a visit even though Bert said he was still committed to UF.
Dude's a snake charmer and it is already starting to bite him in the ass.

Correction, Demps was driving on a suspended license. Obviously worse than drugs, shooting firearms in a crowded area and hitting your g/f.
Show me where Bobby strong arms recruits? He encourages kids to take all their visits. Urban sends his henchman to your school(ala Bert Reed) and gives you an ultimatum.

sissyroo: You look like a bitch. No other way to say it. WAHHHH!!!! UF owned FL this year. We basically got whoever we wanted in state. Period. And you are crying like a little bitch. Too funny.
Fighting with ANOTHER PLAYER when Urban stresses team unity on a daily basis could easily be seen as MORE detrimental than MT(who was kicked off the team).
It was common knowledge to EVERYONE....if Bert went on that trip his scholie offer was gone. He made his own choice.
Have fun with our leftovers.
