Sure thing, B_Postman.
Meanwhile, a large % of those who actually vote are the elderly who simply can't get out in bad weather.

The polls open here at noon. My polling place is four doors down from my office.
I plan on leaving about ten minutes early so that I can be the very first to vote. 1/20/09 can't possibly come soon enough for me.
So you can replace one sack of shit with another sack of shit?
Yeeehaw - I guess.
Said the apathetic dipshit who does nothing but complain about the state of the nation, but doesn't get involved with the process of actually changing things for the better by at least making the effort to vote..
Just piss and moan, and then let others make your decisions for you. That's the ticket.

I'm not sure how they do things in KC, but here in Rochester, anybody who wants to get to the polls need only place a call to their party HQ and a ride will be forthcoming. Also, I am absolutely certain that all of the major campaigns have some kind of Get Out The Vote ride to the polls program. I've worked on these programs for both candidates and my local county Democratic Committee. They are basic building blocks of any GOTV program and their existence means blaming either the weather or lack of transport for your failure to vote is absolute bullshit.

Nice childish rant, though. At least you show a bit of passion and concern. You know that you're just as free to run for public office as any of the candidates you so despise, don't you?

Of course, but that wasn't the point. The point is that if you don't bother to get involved by at least making the minimal effort that it takes to vote, you have no reason to complain about anything.
And if you think it can't get any worse than Chimpy, you had better fucking think again.
Of that I'm convinced.
I voted for Huckabee, even though I know he has little chance. However, he's the person I distrust the least.

Who's your "perfect" candidate?
Maybe you should have been out beating the bushes trying to find this mythical person a year ago and conscripting said person to run.
It's a little late to have any other realistic choices. At this time, you've got 4, maybe 5.
I have little patience for your weak argument that "they all suck". It's like bitching about the teams that made the Super Bowl because you don't like either one. Pick your poison, get off your ass and go vote, or STFU.
Hell, vote for Ron Paul. Or don't, but say you did. At least you'll score some points with Dins.

He's also the only GOP candidate who thinks teacher's unions are more important than kids' education, so he can kiss my ass.
Even if he had a chance.

Which one of these candidates whom you despise should be CINC?
Because one of them
is going to be giving life and death orders to the military, and people are going to have to follow them.
Which one is the person you least despise?

He's holding out for Duncan Hunter or Tom Tancredo to make an epic comeback.

mvscal will be joining me, standing side by side with rifles in hand, fighting to take this country back.
And once we get done calling each other "dumbfuck," we're going to kick some serious ass.
BTW-Huckleberry does indeed want to abolish the IRS. And the beauracracy he's proposed to replace it will make the IRS look like it was ringing bells for the Slavation Army... but he's not really publicizing
that part of his "plan."

And one more thing...
Jeebuz freaking Christo...
Does Oregon have to teach you people
everything?
See, round these parts, regardless whether you're sickly or able, young or old, and regardless whether it's snowing or 80 degrees out, there's a guy who comes right to your freaking door and picks up your ballot, and hand-delivers it to the elections office...
We call him the "mailman."
Fuckin'A, it ain't rocket science, people.
No polling places. No bad weather. No "didn't get off work in time." There's one polling place, and one polling place only -- your mailbox.
Welcome to the 21st Century, Cavemen and Midwesterners.

I'm pretty much a libertarian, and I truly am committed to making a positive change...
But I wouldn't recommend this. It's frowned upon.
A little birdy told me that... assuming IRS agents dress as little birdies these days.

Pretty much how I feel about it as well.
If it's a choice between McCain and Shillary, I'll be voting GOP this time.
Of course, I'm not in a bell-weather state like Mizzou and it's pretty much a given that Oklahoma will go to whomever the GOP nominee turns out to be.
On a sidenote, I heard a commentator on the radio saying tonight that "Super Tuesday" may, indeed, have the opposite effect of the intent (a clear-cut winner). He said that because of what happened tonight, some of the states having later primaries could make the difference, for both parties. Interesting thought.
I also read a pretty good piece by the AP about how the TV networks handled things tonight. It basically said they didn't know what the fuck to make of it.
Meanwhile, folks in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee pretty much had a
full day of news on Tuesday night.

In any event, I suspect that'll remain the case until, and only until, the GOP settles upon a nominee, whereupon you will commence IndyFriscoing said nominee like nobody's business.

Ultimately what it comes down to is that nobody in the Stupid Party is raising any $$$. Thanks to McCain-Feingold the only one who can fund his campaign is Romney and he's as much as said that he's done wasting his family fortune. McCain doesn't have a family fortune to piss away and Fucklebee has already gotten everything the snake-handlers have to give.
On the other side, even the Clintons are burning through the bribes they amassed during the first Clinton administration to fund Hitlery's sagging campaign. The only one raising any money right now is the Jig.
