Favre to be re-instated on Monday, likely heading to Green Bay for camp

Aaron Rodgers reign as the #1 QB will be a short one...deal with it, m2. Are the Packers thickheaded enough to sit Favre just to prove a point? Favre screwed them in a way by retiring in the first place and forcing them to give the job to Rodgers but don't you think Favre wouldn't have been the undisputed #1 if he never retired in the first place? I can't see how McCarthy can say with a straight face that Rodgers has legimiatedly earned that job. He had it handed to him without having to win the job. Brett will be the Packers starter in Week 1...book it. Favre could've saved himself a lot of headache if he just came back right away and put the pressure all on the Packers instead of this stupid game in the media of bickering back and forth.

Rodgers is screwed if they are going to have "an open competition". Do you really thinkg McCarthy will bench Favre if given the choice? Aaron, here's your ballcap and clipboard...enjoy another year on the sidelines.

Aaron Rodgers at Family Night just lead the #1 offense to a 80 TD drive on the #1 defense. Unfortunately, people are booing him now.
8:12 p.m.
There was more than a smattering of boos as Aaron Rodgers was introduced as quarterback with the starting offense. But he led the starters on a six-play, 80-yard touchdown drive, capped by a 4-yard touchdown run by Brandon Jackson. The drive was aided by a 38-yard pass interference penalty on rookie CB Pat Lee, who ran through Donald Driver on a go route. It only took 2 minutes, 45 seconds, so the 1s are getting another drive.

People in the midwest aren't very bright...(Shoalzie, still bangin' your cousin?)
I can't wait for next season when Rodgers is quarterbacking for the Vikings or Bears and running the Packers into the ground.

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers welcomed back quarterback Brett Favre from the reserve-retired list Sunday knowing full well that they've already taken the first step toward trading him to the Minnesota Vikings.

IF that's the case, Brett Favre STILL wins because he's going to a better team than the Packers and he will make the Vikings arguably THE team to beat in the NFC.

So Ted Thompson said today that Favre is going to be welcome back with open arms. While technically that may be true this latest post from Jay Glazer of fox sports is quite telling. The following is taken from his article and the link is below. "The timing not only gives the Packers a brief reprieve from the looming media frenzy that will undoubtedly ensue when Favre takes the field for the first time, but it also gives them an additional 24 hours to work out a deal for the future Hall of Famer. Sources have told FOXSports.com that efforts to trade Favre will be ramped up once he shows up in Wisconsin. The same sources also said that once Favre reports, he will no longer have the right to veto any trade". So what should we gather from this? The obvious first thought is that they are gonna let him practice once and ship him off to a team he doesn't want to play for. I guess we'll find out shortly.
Seriously, this is just too fuckin' funny!!!

The only thing better than Favre stealing the job back away from Rodgers in Green Bay would be them trading him to Minnesota and having him and Adrian Peterson jail sex the Rodgers and Packers in Week 1.

Is this even a question?
Rodgers may be the nest Earl Morell...
But who do you want as a back up?
Sign him up, put his ass on the bench. It would be better to have him and not need him than the other option.

I don't know what bath house you hear your rumors in, but the press conference will be the official anouncement of the, "open competition," for starting QB in GB.

He's out played him in the preseason the last two years.... why would this year be any different ?
The coaches found the opportunity to get rid of the "hillbilly" and they've jumped on it.
If they really felt that Favre was better, he'd be welcomed back on the team. It's that simple.
