However, the fact is, people who couldn't afford to buy a home, people who required political assistance in order to buy their first home, those people likely can't afford a home. When the housing market crashed and the economy burned, those people were likely the first people to lose their homes; unless they were floated by further political assistance.

Any statistical reporting on the home foreclosure crisis bears out such speculation, because a basic rule of thumb for lenders is low-income people who've never owned before make for high default rate loans.

Those people were low-income families, first time buyers, who needed assistance from La Raza just to obtain their first mortgage loan.

This means that, by definition, they likely had no business being given a mortgage loan. They needed assistance, just to obtain one. They'd never been able to obtain one before. Futher, because they were not strong candidates to receive a mortgage loan, statistics show that their predicted default/failure rate is high.

So, speculation that they likely shouldn't have received those loans and they likely lost many of those homes (in the middle of a foreclosure crisis) is an example of flawless logic.
