The sacrifices that will be made for energy independence and a solid economic footing pale in comparison to what we Americans have endured in our past. Ask someone who survived WWII if you need a clue.

Since the majority of us are about 2 generations past WW II and the Great Depression..I submit your position is fucked up....Most every one who survived WW II is dead or will be dead in the next 5 to 8 years. Consider that source of institutional knowledge gone. Today's people have no fucking clue what that era was about, nor do they care or relate that to what we face today..

Energy independence ?? Maybe in about 3 generations..sure as hell not in O Muslims Kingdom.....
