The only physical tools Brady Queem has are buttplugs and cockrings. The only reason that ass goblin plays sports is for the post game showers.

Obviously Pete thought Earl Thomas was better at this point. What about it? Heading into this draft, everyone thought Earl Thomas was better than every DB not named Eric Berry - and some people even think Thomas is better than Berry - so that's who Pete took.

Mays was hot shit last year, before he had a subpar senior season. Last year, he was considered by nearly every 'expert' to be a Top Five pick had he come out, and everyone was stunned when he didn't come out.

Turns out they were right. He cost himself a ton of money by not coming out early. First he got hurt, then he never was himself the rest of the season. By his standards he played poorly, and it cost him.

Either way, if Fifi fucked up and Mays is the real deal, he's gonna pay for it twice a year now.

First round good? Top 15 good? Good enough to have him on another one of his teams good?

Who cares? It's all a fucking crapshoot anyway. The only sure thing about the draft died when Alcula made rational picks.

I suspect that will be the case.

The guy weighs around 240 lbs., hits like a hammer, and only "Jet Blue" is faster than him in this draft.

Sweet peter played him as a free safety and he's more of a SS with wicked skills.

You don't play a freak like this 15 to 20 yards off the ball.

mvscal, see if your football knowin' pea-brain can grasp this concept...

Just because you're not considered to be 'Earl Thomas good' it doesn't mean you can't still be good. There is something between between being a 1st round pick and not being good. It's called...wait for it...most of the NFL's good players.

Seriously, fuck off.

Sincerely,
Joe Montana, 3rd round pick

As for LB Donald Butler, I see the Chargers jumped both DEN x2 and NE x2. I heard that DEN was targeting him.
Sporting News

http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/article ... washington

NFL position: ILB
Height: 6-1 1/8
Weight: 245
40 time: 4.72
Current projection: First-round pick
NFL comparison: Jerod Mayo, Patriots

Butler is a tough, instinctive, highly productive defender who is consistently around the ball making plays. Though he lacks ideal height, he is strong at the point of attack in taking on lead blockers. Butler is very consistent and makes plays all over the field. He really shined at the Senior Bowl, where he was clearly the best linebacker. Butler probably won't be drafted as highly as we have him rated, but in time he will become a very good starting linebacker.
Another accolade (from FoxSports):

"While defensive lineman might be the bigger need in SD, getting Butler, a fringe-first round talent, this late is a gift. "
He is a nice prospect. The thing I like is that he is really starting to get it and if he gets some work in, he can develop into a good LB. The fact that he can do most of the things you want a LB to do gives SD some nice depth. He can be a nickle LB who can drop or rush and can time the blitzes. He needs some work, but the Chargers have 3 good LB in front of him, so they will have some time. Good move by AJ to get someone not quite ready to play, but who has a lot of skills and upside, even if it will take some polishing.

Since he was selected in the 2nd round of the NFL draft, he's also expected to be a good pro player.

He's not thought to be just a college player. Those guys go undrafted.

Horseshit. "Those guys" may get drafted anywhere from 1-7, or not at all. A 3-time All-American who didn't get drafted until 49th has a lot of questions. And just might be one of "those guys".

Only thing I'm convinced of at this point is that Jeff Tedford is by far the most overrated coach in college football. Year after year I see multiple Cal Bears drafted at the offensive skill positions and on defense, and yet the Cal program remains on par with the likes of Rutgers, Wake Forest, etc. Just think what a real coach could accomplish with all that talent.

I'm glad I don't really have a rooting interest in an NFL team. I'll follow ND players, but if I was a Lions fan, I would be pissed. You traded picks in the deepest draft in years, when you have a shit ton of needs, to take a running back who 1) Doesn't look like he can carry the load in the NFL 2) Has concussion issues and 3) Didn't do shit in any of the big games he played in. Awesome.

Van, Mays is a 3 time All American, is 6'3", 230lb and runs a 4.4. Yet he didn't go until the middle of the 2nd round. His own coach took a safety in the first round, instead of addressing another position and taking Mays in the second round. Why? The NFL isn't sold that he can play safety in the NFL. If they were, they wouldn't have passed on a player with his measurables and his resume, time and time again.

Garbage was probably harsh, but Mays isn't the answer to anyone's safety concerns. At least not yet, and people wonder if he will be.

Shit, I don't see what's so bad about a safety getting drafted in the 2nd round in what is a very, very deep draft. Nobody really cares about his trophy case, that's not what scouts are looking at.

You're hatred for ANYTHING "Cal" and "sc" has blinded your little brain.

Jet Blue will be the fastest player in the NFL. The Lions just made themselves a 8-8 team overnight.

The two stumbles in his 40 at the combines held him to just 4.35 on the "slow" track at Indy.

Detroit just got the most explosive back in the last 20 years to enter the NFL draft.

Of course, I was the one that said Frank Gore was the steal of the draft in the 3rd round and Desean Jackson was the steal of the draft late in the 2nd round.... but, what do I know.
