Might be tough to get "up" after such an emotional win vs. your cross town rival...that said, Stanford without a geographic rival at the moment, may have spent some yesterday also...

UCLA should have the motivation, since they not only need to win in two weeks, they need the ratings boost to hit top-14 by beating Stanford.
I'm rooting for both Los Angeles schools in thesame weekend... I think I threw up in my mouth a little.

If UCLA beats Stanford they will most likely be playing Oregon in the CCG. If they lose to Stanford they'll be playing Stanford in the CCG.
They might have a better shot at the Rose Bowl if they lose next Saturday.

Not so fast, my friend.
Pretty sure the Rose wants a top-14 team from the PAC. Only way they're going to get there is by winning both their remaining games.
They
have to beat Stanford to get to the Rose.
If Oregon doesn't get to the MNC (which they probably won't, but it isn't off the table), they're still in the driver's seat for the Rose Bowl, what with the highest BCS rating (Stanford could theoreticaly pass them) and whatnot.

I thought the Rose Bowl had to take the conference champion (CCG winner) if they're not in the MNC game.
I could be wrong.

So could I.
Seems like the new rules haven't made the transition to "common knowledge."

That's actually been thrown around on the Bruin message boards - all the NFL type coaches in here can perhaps see the logic in losing the 1st - (already having clinched the south) with playing subs and showing nothing - for the CC game...knowing Mora though, he'll try to win 'em all....
