That's not the point, idiot. The point is that they have been paying the freight for eight fucking years and they'd rather send them "free of charge" to the suburban public high school they live in that's academically on par, or better, than the catholic high schools in reach.

It's a fallacy that all catholic high schools are these academically superior institutions to their public school brethren. Sure, they'll be able to kick back and get a 3.75 or better if they go to an inner city school system like, say, KCMO public schools or DCPS or whatever struggling inner-city system we're talking about.

I have to use my experience in Grand Rapids for background. The local catholic high schools were good academic schools, but they weren't any better academically than many of the suburban public high schools. The advantage the parochial schools have over the public ones is they don't have to admit the shitheads, the losers, the criminals and the overall pieces of shit who are going ruin the academic environment for others.

You are one dumb jizz mopping son of a bitch, but you know that. Maybe in your world asshole are those catholic schools not as good as the public schools, but in most they are far and away superior to any public institution. Private schools, catholic or other have lower or non existent drop out rates, you go there to learn or you get the fuck out.

IN the west, there are a lot of locally based catholic or other private schools K- 8. Not so many high schools. In our area, catholic or private high schools are 25 to 30 miles away from the feeder K-8 schools. Lot easier to drive you kid 5 miles than 25 miles twice a day, but there are people who do it. Since our public school in the U&L tend to have lower graduation rates, and more remedial course work need in college is needed, getting those kids a much better start in K-8 allows them to function at a much higher level in 9-12 public.

And I stand by my statement that the belief that ALL catholic high schools are academically better than their public school brethren is a fallacy.
