Yeah, socialism is espoused by 2 groups.

The first is the naive ones with good intentions that think we'll be better off if we all just pull together, aka "the useful idiots". Some of these folks eventually figure out that humans are highly flawed, self serving asswhipes which pretty much dooms this type of economic system.

The second group is those that benefit from such a system. Primarily politicians and government workers.

Socialized anything will always be inferior in value and quality to that on the open market. Always.

When a politician tells you that "Everyone deserves free ________," what he/she is really saying is "Everyone deserves the same shitty ________ that my team of bureaucrats will be administering."

Another fact that JSC and others supporting Bern ignore is the same thing JSC was complaining about earlier. The wealth gap between the rich and poor is higher in the socialist Scandinavian countries than it is for the rest of Europe as a whole. In fact only the Swiss have a higher gap.

Kansas state budget is facing a $280 million deficit, and the governor--a religious fanatic--is looking to make up that deficit by looting the public pension fund as well as the state highway funds, and the environmental and health funds. Meanwhile the "small businesses" that he's given tax-free status aren't really small at all, and the stimulation of the economy hasn't occurred at all.

So imagine this same sort of simplistic right-wing insanity applied on a national level. And..?...You'll realize that of course Bernie is the only candidate even close to sane in his policies and plans.

Yes, of course. Nothings screams sanity louder than adding $9 trillion in new spending to our $20 trillion debt. Fortunately for the rest of the world, the only one who will ever "Feel the Bern" is Sanders Claus himself. The fix is in Felchie, old shoe.

But babs, your standard robot reply ignores the fact of Bernie's plan to actually tax the huge corporations--which currently park all their profits off shore. The deficit would fall in short order--as the highways and dams and infrastructure would also actually be maintained. It's obvious that "libertarians" are some kind of hyper anti-intellectual cowards, but how interesting to see that they actually hate America itself.

We already have the highest corporate income tax in the industrialized world, dumbfuck. That's why they park their money (not yours) offshore. You want to bring it back? No problem. Drop the rate or eliminate it altogether.

The assumption that it's simply their money is false. In fact corporations use all manner of public property and resources all the time. The notion of lower and lower corporate tax is nothing more than the utterly debunked and disgraced "trickle down" theory as championed by Don Regan through his senile puppet, Ron Reagan. This is precisely when America went from the biggest creditor nation to the biggest debtor.

They also have 4.3% unemployment. It doesn't seem like there's much room for growth without more workers. The only thing starving in Kansas are government parasites.

Gov. Sam Brownback’s income tax-cut plan to spur job growth in Kansas has become a full-time disaster.

On Friday, the state announced it had lost 3,000 total jobs in August. That’s on top of the 5,100 jobs lost in July.

Here’s even more dire news: The Sunflower State in the past 12 months gained a total of a puny 1,000 new jobs.

That’s the fourth worst record in the entire United States, at .1 percent employment growth for the entire last year.

In all, as the CBPP documents, the changes will cut the taxes of the wealthiest 1% of Kansans by 2.2%. The poorest 20% of Kansans will see their taxes rise by 1.3%.
