I agree that these are forms of racism (though probably not intentional). It's unwise to expect less from the people you are ostensibly trying to help, as if they're incapable of rising to the task by their own wits and effort. Encouragement, advice, and guidance is appropriate, but making things easier just for them is a bad idea. It's like letting a kid beat you at a game of chess. The kid knows you're letting him win, and so the victory means nothing. Sometimes when we try to help, we're really not helping at all.

People don't need those kinds of programs at all, oppressed or otherwise. The programs are demeaning. They strip people of self worth. If you want to invest in something worthwhile, invest in their schools, in their teachers and facilities. Give them a fighting chance to prove themselves rather than handouts and special favors.

And all students cannot reach the same standards when all students are not starting at the same line.

Anyway, what I currently see:
- rampant ethnicism and nepotism
- tracking based on family
- cultural warfare regarding the nature/ appropriateness of discipline
- under-diagosed and under-treated learning disabilities
- under-reported and under-treated physical, mental and sexual abuse
- uninvolved parents/sabotaging parents
- uninvolved school districts/sabotaging school district decisions
- fraud
- who your family is being more important than your capabilities
- more tracking
- stats being more important than learning

The solution is war, pestilence and entertainment. And birth control. Not education. War establishes the order of the food chain, pestilence removes enemies of the food chain, entertainment keeps the rest of the food chain sedated, and birth control solidifies place within the food chain.

Education as you mean it is meaningless. The document attached to it may have meaning depending on the circles you move in. Ambition matters more than education. Entertainment redirects ambition.
