You are far smarter than she is. Yes those numbers help explain her claim, but what she doesn't understand is that it is closer to 40% of wage earners earn less than $20k. A good portion of the population isn't earning a wage.

2018 (Projected) Republicans lost 27 House and gained 2 Senate seats.

Relatively speaking I would not call it an overwhelming rebuke of Trump. On average since WWII the Presidential party loses on average 30 congressional seats. I would say the GOP came out pretty good for this midterm election.

I often take that trek south, down the I-5, thru Los Angeles County. This miserable section of freeway is fit for a third word country. Its a narrow stretch filled with potholes, rundown buildings, decaying neighborhoods, graffiti and garbage.

Its obvious when you hit Orange County. The freeway immediately widens, the ride is a lot smoother, the architecture is much nicer, some greenery, very little garbage and graffiti.
