Pistols can have a high capacity clip and are removable.

Any person with minimal shop skills can put a pistol grip on damn near any gun. See shotguns with a pistol grip.

And cartridges have zero to do with firearms, they are just a style of ammo.

I think in California and much of the country the answer for many Democrats is both.

I've read calls for the banning of semi-automatic firearms, which would be most. Then they would go after shotguns, rifles, and finally revolvers.

In California I can no longer buy 12 GA target loads online, because, well just because guns. There certainly are not many people getting killed or shot with target loads beyond Dick Cheney's inept use of a shotgun.

The problem for me is its not easy to find target loads, much less other types ammunition in California. Democrats here understand if ammunition is limited so will be shooting activities. In a single 3 day tournament, I might go through 400 rds. Hence my displeasure with state government micromanaging my legal shooting activities. Heck the shotgun ranges even recycle the expended lead.

But the main point for Democrats is, guns, ammunition, and orange man bad. Drug addicts, criminals, and illegal aliens good.
