It wasn't until a couple of hours after I wrote this that I realized that the cause of his difficulties was something he's had to deal with all of his life. The important thing is that it's not like he has trouble interpreting truth/reality like his felon opponent. And at 3am I'd rather emergencies be handled by a straight shooter than a smooth-talking conman. Additionally, he appeared today & spoke in a manner that elicited many supporters to say "where was this Joe last night?" So I'll rescind my earlier assessment.
