Knew This Day Would Come...

...just didn't think it would be this soon or this lopsided.
First, congrats to Texas on what must be a very satisfying win. I was impressed with the behavior of Texas Fan at the State Fair after the game. My friends and I stayed at the Fair for about three hours following the game and didn't have a single fan talk shit to us. Of course, my friend Brian is 6'6" 285 and played O-Line for UCO, but still...
What can you really say about the game itself. Texas gave OU tons of chances in the first half but OU's horrendous offense couldn't even come close to capitalizing. The questionable PI call coupled with the late, 1st half touchdown were the back-breakers. Take those away and OU would still not have won, but might have kept it respectable. Texas is very good especially on defense. I think they have a good chance of winning the whole thing.
Oh, well, it's going to be a long year. For OU, I'm calling 7-4 and a trip to San Antonio to get stomped by a Big 10 team. Probably pretty optimistic. I hope Bob Stoops knows that he only gets one year like this for every five good years. Harsh, but true. Dude may seriously want to think about making some staff changes in the off-season. (Ahem, Chuck Long, ahem) Every decent Juco O-lineman in the country should have an offer from OU on the table RIGHT NOW. Peterson should not play again until he is 100% healthy.
Lastly, I want to do something I almost never do and that's give props to OU fans. Despite any pictures that Bill may be posting, the south end of the stadium was full of crimson until the final gun sounded. That was not the case for the north end in 2000 and 2003.
