Nah, not really, but one of my FFL pages did a bit on the errie similarities between Chris Chandler in 1998 and Mark Brunell (so far) this year.
--Both Chandler and Brunell went to University of Washington.
--Both had varying degrees of success in their 20’s before becoming
lame-duck veteran QBs in their 11th year: The Houston Oilers drafted Steve McNair in the 1st round to replace Chandler; the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Byron Leftwich in the 1st round to replace Brunell.

--Both were too stubborn to play mentor or “keep the seat warm” and got
released.

--Both ended up with a new team and a big-time new coach: Chandler with
Dan Reeves in Atlanta, Brunell with Joe Gibbs in Washington.

--Both inherited a play-action offense with a big-time tailback and two
underrated ex-AFC receivers: Chandler with Jamal Anderson, Terance
Mathis & Tony Martin; Brunell with Clinton Portis, Santana Moss & David
Patten.

--Both Chandler’s ’98 Falcons and Brunell’s ‘05 Redskins started at
3-1.

--And the strangest connection... TE Brian Kozlowski was/is playing
special teams on both of these rosters.
I did call the Skins in the Super Bowl.

BTW: Brian Kozlowski is from Victor, NY. Which is about 5 miles from where I am sitting right now. Nice to see a local boy stick around a few years in the league.

As opposed to bet welchers, who don't stick around for much of anything.
