Just listened to the author of this book on the John Batchelor show.
Sounds like a great book paying tribute to the American Fighting Man. Chechnan fighters claimed they could trap the Americans by allowing them into the city (Fallujah) and then flanking them.
The Americans, Marines and Army, went house by house, room by room. Engaging in fierce firefights .... he might have mentioned hand to hand but I don't remember. Either way the picture of some grueling close quarters combat was painted.
With all the horseshit around here, you'd think there'd be a pony somewhere.
