Eagles VS Chargers

This is going to be a hard fought game- but I honestly think the Birds are able to pull out a win. Reid always does well off of bye weeks & the team has had a chance to rest. Johnson will do what he can to take LT out of the game (as much as you can take LT out of the game) & Mcnabb will return to the form he had the two games prior to the Cowboys game. They will test that weak secondary- giving Owens his 100th TD reception and take advantage of BWest alot more...
Eagles- 27
Charges- 21

This is a tough game to call, IMHO. You don't stop or take LT out of the game. What the Eagles have to hope for is an effective pass rush, without blitzing. Their D Line is not getting the rush from the opposite side of Kearse who is constantly getting double teamed.
If they have to blitz to get pressure that leaves LT out in the flat for those swing passes that he can turn into rather large gains. If that happens the Eagles D is in for a long game..
This is where I wish the Eagles had kept Ike Reese because he might have been able to stay with LT out in the flat or at least provide better coverage than Keith Adams.
On the flipside, the Eagles offense should be sharp after the bye. If the Eagles get everyone involved, especially Westbrook, I don't know if the
Chargers will be able to stop them.
Eagles 35
Chargers 30

Eagles win due to the bye week, plus they have a better defense. Sucks for the Chargers, cause they are def a playoff team but their schedule the first half of the season is brutal.

Do the eagles really have a better defense? I think that defense is falling apart, and with the McDougle being gone for the season, I think it only gets worse. Good luck in trying to contain LT.

This should be a tough game for both sides. The Bolt's while resonably healthy have several players nursing ankle sprains and such as you would expect at this point in the season. They need to get Gates more involved in the passing game, he only had 2 catches last week. LT will be LT and he will get his. I'm not concerned that the offense should be able to put enough points to win the game.
It is the defensive secondary that worries me. TO is going to torch them i'm afraid. Last weeks showing against the Raiders was more accountable to Collins looking like an absolute Toad as opposed to marked improvement of play from the corners and safety position. Knocking Moss out early didn't hurt either.
I have a feeling that this game will come down like the Steeler MNF game 2 weeks back, in that whoever has the ball last is going to pull it out. I am definately expecting to see a close, tough, entertaining game.
Bolts 34
Iggles 31 (who is going to kick their field goal though :D)

Sounds like we have the same assesment. BTW.. Todd France has been decent in field goals. He just cant kick off all that well.

Let's go nuts and make a sig bet on what team has the best avg starting position on the field!
(for the record.. Kaeding appears to be a really good kicker.. I have him on my fantasy team and I have no complaints).

Yea, I was just joking. Kaeding has been solid on FG and PAT (I have him for my team as well) but his kickoffs are wee bit short. He will start off a game with a kick to the goal line, then will gradually lose yardage on subsequent kicks until they are coming in around the 15. I can't recall seeing a single touchback this year.

I'll go ahead and file this fucking game under "who gives a fuck?" immediately.
The real losers are the ones who are stuck watching this battle of the suck because of thier local TV networks.

Battle of the suck... you must be referencing the 1-4 Oakland Raiders. So is the game against the Bills a sellout or do the fair weather fans in Oakland need network tv to bail them out again so they can watch the game on their b&w tvs?

Fuckoff, asshole.
I wonder if there's anything good on the history channel tomorrow afternoon.
BTW, put a skirt on Jammer, AKA TO's bitch-to-be.

Strangely enough, the Iggles aren't on in the midstate this week. :P
The local CBS station is carrying Steelers-Bengals at 1, followed by Ravens-Bears at 4:15.
Fortunately, I get to get to see the 'Skins vs. Frisco on the FOX broadcast channel.
