The Senate overwhelmngly voted against (87-13) three spending amendments offered by Senator Coburn that would have redirected money from a sculpture park in Washington state, an animal shelter in RI, and a parking lot in Neb to victims of hurricane Katrina.

RACK the 13 who voted with Coburn including McCain and Mike Allen and also the single Democrat that broke ranks, Senator Feingold.

UnWar that other 87 Senators who demonstrated that they care more about spending money for shit sculptures, animal housing, and parking that ordinary Americans suffering still from the impact of Katrina.

BTW - one, just one Democrat voted to cut this pork?

Re: Coburn's initial spending amendment to redirected nearly $450 million for two bridges in Alaska, including the infamous "Bridge to Nowehere"

--Alaska Senator Stevens threatened to resign if the bridges were defunded; and

--The other Alaska Senator, Murkowski, asserted that calling that one bridge "Bridge to Nowhere" is offensive and should be called the "Bridge to the Future."

Sickening...

On that vote, here's who voted for redirecting those funds:
Tom Coburn (R-OK)
Russ Feingold (D-WI)
Jon Kyl (R-AZ)
Jim DeMint (R-SC)
David Vitter (R-LA)
Mary Landrieu (D-LA)
John Sununu (R-NH)
Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
Richard Burr (R-NC)
Wayne Allard (R-CO)
Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
Evan Bayh (D-IN)
Mike DeWine (R-OH)
Kent Conrad (D-ND)
George Allen (R-VA)

RACK these folks...took courage which seems to be in very short supply these days.
