Chiefs reel in dead fish

30-20, though not really that close.
30-13 with a little over 2 mins to go, and 6 of the 13 points came from Browns td run, that any good defense would have stopped 30 yards short.
Close to the bottom line - fish are not a very good team. The record reflects that, so not like Im telling you anything you didnt already know.
One up from the bottom line- Gus STILL sucks, and Ricky NOW sucks. Homeless Williams needs to score some weed, because he sure ran alot better when HIGH, than he is now.
Bottom line- Fish did not show up for the game. Nor can I blame them. Same thing as the Saints have faced. Fish are fearing that their entire lives (homes, neighborhoods, belongings, and family) are in danger, yet they still try and go to work. Chiefs simply had the pain in the ass of getting up early, and working a few hours late. Something most of us probably do at least once a month.
Under the bottom line- FUCK YES! Chiefs win. I'll take it.

I picked the fish partly beacuse we almost always suck ass whenever we play in Florida and partly beacuse of the one day notice for this game.
I hadn't seen the fish play this year, but thought they'd be respectable.
I thought wrong.
Chiefs looked like a totally different team than I saw last week. I only saw second half and some highlights since we had practice tonight for my son's team.
I guess we'll see if the Chiefs are for real next week in San Diego.

No apology needed. However I would add that the Chiefs ALWAYS suck in Florida. Maybe the the tides have turned.

Not so sure what you meant by the first part.
"Chiefs looked like a totally different team than I saw last week." Clarify, if you would..... I saw a team that did what it took to win both games, but not a team that amazes me. I also saw a good Skins team, and a bad fish team.
As for the last part.... yea. Cant say that Im not happy the Chiefs have 2 extra days to prepare for that game. As of now, the Bolts are by far the best team in the division, even though Marty has not allowed them to be.

Chiefs running game tonight was day and night compared to last week.
The Defensive line push was all over Gus.
Both were lacking last week.
So are the Skins better than I think or the Fish worse?
Maybe it's really just the jeckel and hyde Chiefs.....
Next week will tell if we have a contender or pretender.

Scott,
I see Gonzo got a zillion or so targets and 7 catches. Looks like he's a part of the offense again.
Next time you want to give me a chance to "upgrade" my defense, try mixing some value in. ;)

All I can say is:
Thank you Lawrence
HARTMAN
I don't like the name Lawrence!
Only faggots
and sailors are called Lawrence! From now on
you're Gomer Pyle!

You must be mathmaticaly challenged.
Before last night Tony G had 30 pts. = 6 ppg. avg.
even with last nights game he is up to 43 pts. = 7.16 ppg. avg.
The Bengals D had 79 pts. = 13.2 ppg. avg.
I was tossing in Marcus Pollard who has 33 pts. or Erron Kinney who has 52.
Still think there was no value in that offer?

In that case, you were a damn fool to make it. Right?
No, I don't think you're a fool. I think you know as well as I do that Gonzo has made up for slow starts with fast finishes before. Also, you know that Priest's knee can't hold out forever, which is yet another reason to think the Chiefs might be leaning on Gonzo down the stretch.
Furthermore, your proposal would have forced me to drop another player. If I drop the Falcons defense, I'm missing a great play this Monday night AND I still have the same bye week roster issues with my team defense only 2 weeks later, since the Bengals bye is on week 10.
The long and the short of it is that you wanted me to gamble that Gonzo would remain a 6 point a game guy the rest of the season. He won't, and we both know it.

Sure.... and that's the gamble I'm willing to take.

That's a reach. Priest hasn't been on injury report all year. Maybe you can sell you'r $32 bench sitting Larry Johnson to somebody else with that story but I ain't buying it

Good point - wasn't really looking at who the Falcons matched up against - rather their overall defensive ranking

Every year there are guys who get drafted high or a lot of money is bid who end up being busts (Culpepper, Dillon or Portis) - Will that be Gonzo this year? I don't think so, but based on his numbers for the first 6 games he's not worth what you paid for him.

Me too. Which is why I'm not going to give away Gonzo for a song.

Yea, that's why Priest and LJ are splitting carries. Because Priest is a heavy duty every down back. ;)

Things are way too tight up in the Vonnegut Division for be giving away good matchups. Now if I were in the weakass Salinger Division, I'd be grooming this lineup for the playoffs.

That may be true. But giving him away for a guy who's worth even less and a defense that is only marginaly better would only confirm that supposition. However, if I hang onto him, he still has a chance to blow up.

Blame it on college football. The NFL doesn't want to fuck with their farm system.

check me if I'm wrong, cause I must have missed where Miami got anymore notice than the Chief's.

Miami didn't have to arrange a chartered flight halfway across the country on short notice.
checked.

Yep..that 2 1/2 hour flight from K.C. to Miami is a real killer.
Bwa....they could have freekin hitch-hiked wag's...they were still playing the Dullfins.
I don't get too many chances to pile on my buddy Scott, but I couldn't let this one pass.

Of course Gonzo went off...you're matched up against Tradebait this week. Just like last week when Orc's Minnie Vinnies two RB's went off for 6 TD's and 75 points vs. the lowly TB's... I had a piss poor draft, catch a break, hell I couldn't catch the clap if I spent a week with Cinder.

Anti-trust regulations & NFL rules in relation to them.
That's what the NFL attorneys told us, anyways.

The flight thingy was just an add on excuse... As a Cheif fan I've watched us fuck up in FL so many times in the past I just wrote this one off as the Bermuda triangle game.
As you may have noticed I'd backed off the chest thumping on the Chiefs a bit since the Eagles debacle and a less than impressive victory over the Skins last week. After last night I'm thinking they may be hitting stride, but next week will be the real barometer of just where this season is gonna go.
It should be a great game, and if the Chiefs win you might just wanna start writing that check now :P
