I know Portis was a stud but Snead is rolling against the top competition in Texas. The Yellow Jackets have outscored their District 6-4A opponents 151-27, moving to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in District 6-4A.

Most recently quarterback Jevan Snead was 24-for-31 passing for 367 yards and two touchdowns - on the year 2100+ yards 61% comp, 25 TDs, 5 picks

Texas fans, is this a decent division? You guys would know better than I. He is also an early school entry at UF. He'll be here in January. Unless Leak can manage something I have a feeling his UF career may be in serious jeopardy.

Stephenville has long been a 4A power in Texas. They had a run in the early 90's when Art Briles was the head coach. He was at 1 point the highest paid HIgh School coach in Texas. He was making in the high 90's. Art left and went to Texas Tech to be the RB's coach and now he is the head man at UH. The district is good but it is not a huge power district. Most of those are in Dallas, Houston or West Texas.

The biggest used to be 4-5A. They used to call it the Little SWC. Odessa Permian, Abilene, San Angelo Central, Odessa High, Midland Lee, Midland High and Abilene Cooper. That was brutal conference.

Snead is a good player. He will do well in Urban's system.

If and when Mack steps down at Texas I would put Briles on a short list of coaches to interview. He is a great coach and 100% class.

I'm really pulling for Tebow to go to Florida so Snead will switch to Texas
